You must demonstrate an understanding of: Arithmetic Algebraic expressions and correct mathematical operation in correct order Units of physical quantities, rational and irrational numbers, scientific notation, calculations based on estimating and approximating techniques Linear functions and linear graph, solving the linear functions simultaneously by using algebraically and geometrically and determining the length and mid-point of a line segment Quadratic equations and solving simultaneous linear and quadratic equation Assessment Instructions . All answers are to be written in blue or black pen only , excluding diagrams, or the answers will not be marked (Written tests only). 2. The ONLY materials, equipment or personal items which may be brought into the test room are Scientific Calculators, blue or black pens, pencil, eraser and correction fluid (unless otherwise permitted by invigilator) 3. There is to be NO communication of any kind with any other person either inside or outside the test’s venue, except with the test supervisor/invigilator or course teachers. 4.
