Fear isn’t something that just goes away easily, it lingers and haunts you until it kills you inside. It is an unpleasant emotion and it creeps up on you as darkness takes over daylight, slowly and then all at once. However, fear is like the monster under my bed or the one hiding in my closet. Instead of just hiding, my fear grows immensely every time I try to ignore it. A time that I experienced intense fear was when my house got robbed but it made me stronger than before. It was around midnight when my mom and I just came back from West Palm Beach. As we were pulling into the driveway to our house, we noticed that both lights we usually leave on, the inside and the outside, were off. We could tell something wasn’t right. Our usual warmed and calmed atmosphere got occupied by a chilly hair-rising breeze. As we got closer to our house, we noticed that it started to look strange as it got colder. As my mom tried to unlock the door, it was already unlocked. Thoughts and scenarios started performing in my head as I started panicking. I felt myself gasping for air, as I tried to brace myself with what we had to face behind the door. It was like I was drowning and the more I moved and gasped for air, the more I sunk in the deep unknown water. Here’s the funny thing, I can’t even swim. I couldn’t even save my own self. As we opened the door, my heart dropped to my feet as I felt the blood drain from my face. Following that, the house looked like a tornado trashed everything. The
It is an utterly simplistic word, fear, yet one so misunderstood by society. Fear is a perplexing aspect of life, generally being perceived with a negative connotation and seen as a handicap. Society most commonly only glimpses at the peak of fear, the cold dreaded zenith, while below this surface lies many other dimensions of this complex emotion. Only by welcoming this fear, with its potential of being a burden to life or making it prosper, can one master the act of regulating fear and using it for one’s benefit.
Fear is one of the strongest emotions for every human being; like love or hate it can distort our mind, causing us to not think or act logically in different circumstances.
Fear is one of the oldest, strongest, most uncontrollable and an unavoidable feelings. It can: make you sweat, make you cry, shake or even lose your appetite for food. It can also cause people to do stupid things that they never would do in ordinary circumstances. This can be seen in many different aspects of life. One place it can be seen is literature. Fear is something that nobody truly understands at first. There is a moment though when fear becomes clear and at that moment, it is truly scary. Fear is like a higher power taking control of you. It is as simple as the dark or death. Fear will overcome any willpower, courage, and any other feeling. Over the past two weeks, I have read two different stories about fear. Fear is an automatic response to physical and emotional danger we sense. People handle fear in many different ways but almost all of us let our imagination overcome reason.
Everyone has some sort of fear or something they are scared of. Fear is a strong emotion that compels people to think and act in response to it. Fear is also unique in the fact that everyone has a different fear, and a different way of dealing with them. Some may say can help you survive, but we don't live in the caves anymore. Fear is a harmful emotion because it can cause paranoia, it can limit your potential, and it can make you prejudice.
Fear occurs simply because you are not living with reality, you are living in your mind, recreating unlikely occurrences. Fear is always about what is going to happen next and that mean it does not necessarily exist in reality. Another truth about fear is if it non-existent, then your fear is completely made within your imagination. Insanity, non-existential fear. Living in socially acceptable amounts of insanity, while being afraid of something that does not exist, it corresponds with fear. Boundaries are built up, creating walls of fear. If the boundaries are created, then there is a restriction on your life, which is created within your mind. Fear is not a product of the life you live. Fear is a product of your deceived mind, and
What is fear? Fear is something everyone should overcome. It is something that scares people out of their socks. For me fear was not such a big thing. I wasn’t scared of a lot of things, but one fear I have is the fear of big bugs. I was always scared of big bugs. Last year, I went to a cabin with my family and friends during Labor Day. When we got there we started unpacking and I went to the sink to wash my hands. When I was about to turn on the faucet, I saw a big centipede and I shrieked. I ran to my parents and told them, but when they came to the sink it was gone. That whole time when I was in the cabin I was terrified and I always looked out for centipedes. I know that it is possible to overcome my fear of big bugs but I am not ready now. Although, one day I am going to overcome that fear. Fear can only stop people from excelling in life. Don’t let one fear stop you from achieving something great.
Since the beginning of time, our views on fear have drastically changed. It was once thought that fear was a disease, but what is fear. Is it that horrible feeling we get when our stomach feels like its going to explode, or is something else. We’ll forever feel that feeling of fear. From the day we are born to the day we die. Fear is that quintessential human emotion. Regardless of living life with joy, happiness, and pleasure, humans can't escape the feeling of fear and what comes with fear; pain. Fear is a feeling your body produces to tell you about dangerous, threatening, or scary situation. It's what gives you the ability to sense danger and react. We’re shaped by fear, despite spending our entire lives trying to avoid fear. Fear is powerful, there is not escaping fear, but there is striving from fear.
Fear is a deep emotion that runs havoc on your brain and organs. When you encounter a fearful situation, your brain feels like it is in some type of trouble, sending signals through your nervous system. All humans have fear. Those who have authority however, are trained on how to face many of their fears, but there are a few scenarios they cannot control.
Fear is a very distressing emotion caused by the belief that something dangerous, evil or painful is going to happen. It could be real or imagined fear. Fear is one of the most important human emotions, helping to keep us safe by alerting us to danger. The fear response prepares us to run or withdraw from threatening situations. Everyone has at one point of life experienced fear whether regarding anxiety or tension about something. Fear can occur in different ways such as laziness, cynicism, arrogance, recklessness, apathy, and despair. Everyone has felt fear, whether it be at the top of the slide or laying in bed, but fear isn’t real. To make such a statement one must understand where fear comes from. Fear is caused by a chemical change in our body that is caused by something that makes us think that we are in danger, or when we misunderstand a situation. Resulting from a conflict of many indescribable feelings which leads to being mistaken for different emotions or feelings. Fear is often confused with anger, sadness, joy, being nervous or even being surprised by something.
According to my dictionary, Fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat. When the word "fear" comes to my mind, I think of an emotion that's caused by a bad situation. There are many things in this world that put fear in me. My greatest fears are computer viruses, thugs, sick people, and clowns. Each of these fears make me very scared and give me goosebumps.
