They already lack the interest to know more about their country’s history because they fail to understand what the real essence of learning about history is. Probably because their teachers during their elementary and high school days just taught them about memorizing the facts that just includes all of the dates of historical events and names of heroes and leaders. That is why, they do not get any value from this kind of learning. Therefore, in order to let others appreciate about the history of their country, it should first be taught to them in a right way. It should be inculcated from the very start that what you learn from history is what you will have to learn later about the society and the people around you. People should first understand that history is not just all about facts. It is about why life happened and why we share the same value and tradition. This is the downfall in humanity because as we keep going, life will continue to get easier and we won’t want to do anything. History is our hope so that we can learn from what we did in our past and how things were done then. For starters, we can see what mistakes we did and make sure we don’t do them again. If we continue to the same thing over and over again, there’s no way for our society to improve from this. Our

Students are only able to view a situation based on how they have lived or what they know best. When teaching history of the world teachers often teach harsh situations from the past in ways that are fabricated. “If we look Indian history squarely in the eye, we are going to get red eyes” (Loewen 95).
