We needed an individual who had the skill set(s) to teach computer skills to both adults and youth and help them use those skills to advance further in their academic or employment pursuits (Computer Instructor). We need interns that can assist students with their homework and preparing them for the ACT or SAT examination, which could determine where they would, admitted into college (Educational Consultant). Finally, administrative workers to functions in the office, perform grant research and writing to identify funding to support these positions and meet regularly with the other staff to determine if we were providing effective services and to keep statistics on the level and quality of the services we provide (Executive Director). Staffing is the achievement of organizational goals through the effective and efficient deployment of people. Staffing deals with people as a resource in the organization. It is more than a department called human resources or the personnel department (Reilly, Minnick & Baack, 2011). Because Renacer initially had no funding, we recruited individuals who believed in our mission and donated their time and skills. We had an Employment Specialist, Computer Instructor, Educational Consultant and Executive Director. Each person performed the job descriptions outlined in a previous paragraph. A staffing strategy is a key to the success of an organization. When the staffing technique in an organization is well handled, the company ends up with effective workers that serve the organization with a purpose of success. When the staff of an organization is well sourced and properly motivated to work for an institution, they, in turn, give excellent services and are key to customer satisfaction and retention.

Staffing versus resources is the balance that all organisations face the challenge of meeting and with the current downward trend of budgets it is becoming increasingly the case that this is the main driving force for change of team makeup and of the people that are working within those teams.
