Journal 4 This week’s assignment involved understanding how functions work in the context of Python. The programming assignment is the most useful part in this chapter as it allows me to practice some more on programming Python. While working on the assignment, I was trying to think of the most efficient way to write code for this assignment, and I ended up defining to additional functions in addition to two functions required to complete the assignment. The first function tells Python to print one blank space. The second function tells Python to print three blank lines. Then, I combined the two function into the two required functions for this assignment. I started to understand how a well-defined functions can be used as a building block for other part of the …show more content…
Furthermore, as mentioned in the text, it becomes clearer as to why making adjustment to only one function is less time-consuming and more efficient when I need to debug the program. Additionally, I can see how this minor detail makes debugging possible. I think it is important to keep this fact in mind when writing code, especially when working on a large project. Besides the usefulness of a well-written functions, the purpose of comments in lines of code become clearer to me as well. Similarly, the programming assignment helps emphasize this fact further. When a functions is defined, it is created to serve a specific purpose, and it is a good idea to leave a brief description that explains its purpose so that you can refer to it at later time. Just as the text explains, I totally agree that comments add the human elements to the script and that they are extremely useful when multiple people are working on the
The goal of communications is to make ethics a live, ongoing conversation. If ethics is something that is constantly addressed, referenced frequently in company meetings, and in personal conversations among managers and employees, then people are more aware and more willing to defend the company’s policies when they see or hear of problems. Employees will hold other employees responsible and accountable for living the company’s values.
There have been many things that I have learned this semester from knowing what type of graphic displays my data in the best way to how to calculate the location quotient. Probably what stuck the most was the difference between race and ethnicity and calculating projections. I was surprised how many times that topic came up after we learned that. I would explain the difference in my conversations and the majority of the people were surprised to find that there are only two ethnicities, which are Hispanic or Latino and Non-Hispanic or Latino. Now I know that the races are only white, Black or African American, Asian, American Indian and Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander. The only thing that I do not understand and probably
The following are more important details about activities I have been involved in that represent my interests:
1. In the first half of the Eagles game are team was playing out of the back a lot but there could have been times where we played the ball in the middle and split the other teams. There was a play in the video were Less had the ball and Jenna opened up and received the ball from Less and Jenna gave a good ball to me but, I looked around my shoulder and saw pressure coming so I quickly gave the ball back to Jenna. When I gave the ball back to Jenna I should have opened up and tried to receive it back from her so that I could try to change the point of attack.
Laduna, I really enjoyed reading your post. You gave a very good description of each question. I also think you did a great job on listing the steps that we use to code. It is very important that we go by the list that you listed in order to determine the correct code. I would hate to cause a billing error in the future all because I didn't go by the list. I definitely plan on keeping a copy to look at just to make sure I am coding correctly in the future. And I also liked how you explained the 4 conventions. At first I had the most trouble understanding exactly what the conventions were for but after reading about them a couple of times I understand them much better. And I also understand how important convention play in ICD-10-CM. I'm still
If I have lunch with you tomorrow, I ____________ lunch with Tom the next day.
Its summer time and the most important thing in hot weather is the need to quench your thirst. What is a better drink then a refreshing Lemonade. Since long I was very much interested in opening a lemonade stand, which I finally decided to have it implemented before the summer season starts. After a lot of research and hard work I have come up with a business model that would work efficiently in generating revenue and also help local community.
Regarding the week three assignment of the COUN. 725 course, the organization I wish to work in is the Veterans Affairs (VA) Hospital. The VA is a department which helps veterans and relatives or dependents of the veterans through services, resources, education, therapy, etc.
2. Another advantage of using this method requires a calculation of one cost and to use this cost for all calculations, thus making paperwork easier. The need for detailed records for each purchase is unnecessary; businesses would maintain records for totals only. Weighted average is good for companies with commoditized items such as computers, auto parts, oil, or even air transportation services.
During my INRW 0302 class, the professor helped me to get into the internship. That internship helps me learn about our career before taking the class. Unfortunately, the internship was not completed is because I was too late to tell the employer about my driver license number. As the result, they did not call me to work and I really feel nothing to worry about; because they can just contact me after the holiday. If they did not call me; there is nothing for me to worry about.
1. Identify three quotes from the dialogue that show how Bryce progressed in ethically identifying his emotions.
1.4) Do some online research to find information on several businesses that have benefited from implementing unified communications. Write a short paper describing how/why they are using unified communications and the business benefits that they have realized ?
Directions: Think of a misunderstanding you experienced when communicating with someone else at work. Then fill in the blanks of the chart below.
(1) Write an algorithm that prints out all the subsets of three elements of a set of n elements. The elements of this set are stored in a list that is the input to the algorithm.
As a social system, the family can be thought of as a constellations of subsystems defined in terms of generations, gender, and role. Divisions of labor among family members define particular subunits, and attachments define others. Each family member participates in several subsystems- some dyadic (involving two people) and some polyadic (involving more than two). The father and child represent one dyadic subsystem, the mother and father another; the mother-father child represent one polyadic subsystem, the mother and two siblings another. Thus, a positive family climate for children and adolescents involves not only effective parenting but also a positive relationship
