Many students feel that school uniforms are unfair or unnecessary because you can´t show your personality through your clothing or you can´t express yourself. Most students don´t understand how much school uniforms would help. School uniforms will change multiple things in a positive way. They will keep students in a better learning environment. School uniforms should be enforced because the amount of bullying would go down and it will keep students focused on school work. If school uniforms were considered, there would be a lower amount of bullying. Many students go to school worrying about being bullied because of what they wear or how they look. In “Appearances Are Destructive” it talks about how people judge on how expensive their clothes are or what brand it is. They also judge on culture. Students may go home in tears because their peers judge on clothing. School uniforms should be a required thing at most of the schools in the United States. School uniforms would be the best choice because then we would have less bullying because they would have nothing to judge their classmates on...they would help with stress brought on to buy clothes. Once students feel and learn how much school uniforms could change the way students behave and treat each other, they will enjoy having them. People look at school uniforms in many different ways, but the best way is by adding them to more schools. If schools didn´t have uniforms, then it might be a complete mess because you could one kid being bullied because of looks and another kid with bad grades because he is too focused on looks. There are many reasons why school uniforms should be required:bullying would go down and students will be focused on school. School uniforms should be enforced because it will help the students create a better learning
Many schools each year are gradually turning towards the use of school uniforms. Statistics show that 5% of schools worldwide are starting to take use in having school uniforms. I believe that schools should have uniforms because it limits kids to getting bullied, parents don’t have to worry if their kids have name brand clothing or not, and the school doesn’t have to worry about kids dressing inappropriately.
Student should be free to wear whatever they want. Students have shown how strong and considerate they are of others. Students have learned to not judge a book by its cover. School uniforms never really capture the full creativity of a student. Students need to be thinking of their future kids and if they want their kids to wear uniforms. Many students have complained about school uniforms because they feel like their not themselves. Students love to be free and not told what to wear. The parents have even complained about the school uniforms in many ways. The parents have said school uniforms are way too expensive and don’t want to pay as much. Parents do not feel it is right that their kids can not express themselves because of school uniforms. Parents want to see their kids grow up with creativity and imagination. Therefore school uniforms should be abolished from
While in a perfect world many educators say that school uniforms are an asset but I have to say school uniforms are detrimental to the students. School uniforms are a financial hardship on low-income families, make students a target for bullying, infringe on a students’ freedom of expression rights and they teach students a negative lesson about conformity.
School uniforms can benefit low income areas, places where crimes are high, and even to help the image of the school. I?m not saying with school uniforms that there will be no bullying or no crimes what I am saying is that school uniforms eliminate some of the issues. You can believe me because I have done a lot of research and checked myself with multiple different websites. I will first tell you the need for these uniforms. Then I will propose a solution, and last I will tell this affects you and maybe your future kids.
School uniforms delay a student’s transition into becoming an adult, so uniforms should not be entailed. According to PublicSchoolReview.com, “Students that are forced to wear uniforms are ill-prepared to become an adult that has to choose things for themselves” (ProCon.org). Everyone knows that adulthood involves making your own choices. All throughout high-school, students that get to choose what they wear already know what clothing they like and what they feel they look best in. However, with a uniform policy, students would then have to experiment with new clothing and could potentially waste money right away.
School uniforms would reduce the amount of bullying that occurs because they would be mandatory for every student; they would limit so called “tough guys” from making fun of students who are weaker or who do not have the brand name clothes, and are less fortunate than other students.
School uniforms in public schools are becoming fairly popular across the nation. With consideration, schools can greatly benefit from school uniforms if schools pick up this policy. Actions against this policy will occur when changes are being made, but if we can learn to accept school uniforms, many benefits or positive effects will outweigh then negative effects. With much thought, I personally think schools should have school uniforms because there would be less bullying, students can focus on education, and students can also freely express themselves in numerous ways.
School uniform enhances school unity and community spirit and gives every student an equal status, regardless of race, religion or culture, whether they are from the upper, middle or working class backgrounds. This leads to young people feeling secure as a group and less likely to be bullied for not wearing the latest fashion trend, thus banning uniforms would be atrocious.
Over the past couple of years, there has been an ongoing debate about whether students should wear uniforms. There are some people who believe that it does have an influence on students as far as improving grades or behavior. Opposing arguments say that students wearing uniforms restricts them from expressing their individuality. Wearing uniforms should be a requirement in public schools. The reason why students should have to wear uniforms is that it helps focus more on learning rather than clothing, uniform apparel can be less expensive than casual clothing, and it reduces violence in schools.
One of the positive things of enforcing school uniforms is equality between students there is not going to be a division by social classes. The most popular kinds won't be wearing the jeans, meanwhile the kids from the lower class are not gonna be made fun of. This can help the surrounding become bully-free. The students won't be wearing clothes with language and insignia, such as gang colours. They won't be able to pick on anyone based on what they wear. Even with uniforms teenagers can express their identity with the freedom to choose their accessories, hair style etc. Beside everything else schools that require uniforms look more formal and well put together. If the students don't focus too much on what they are going to wear, they can improve
School uniforms in public schools have become more common throughout the United States of America Most public schools would benefit if uniforms were to be adopted and made a mandatory policy. Everyone has their own point of view, therefore we have many different opinions. When putting in consideration, both the positive and negative effects, the positive effects will always outweigh the negative. Uniforms should be required in public schools because their use would lead to less violence, better education, and expressing their middle class ages.
Do you want uniforms at your school? No one really knows why people like school uniforms. It won’t change anything with the real problems at the school. Many kids still won’t be able to buy the name brand uniforms. So people will still judge others for not having the same name brand uniforms. Kids will be more rebellious and aggravated with the school uniforms. School boards and other higher position say it makes the school more professional but in reality it doesn’t. It makes the school seem just like everyone else. When they wear what they want the school will stand out. It is normal for not having school uniforms. But it still makes each school different from other schools. Students have the right to dress as they please but still in
It is a great idea for schools to implement a policy on school uniforms. Students aren’t as distracted by what the other classmates are or aren’t wearing, and they feel a sense of likeness as they are all wearing the same clothes. Uniforms improve order and discipline, self-esteem and self-respect, focusing the attention upon learning and away from such distractions as fashion competition and gang intimidation.
It is a belief that school uniforms teach students to respect their learning environment and behave themselves, and, therefore improving discipline. However, that assumption isn’t entirely correct. Researchers have actually found that school uniforms don’t make students better behaved. According to a study of more than 4,500 students, those who wore a school uniform did not have fewer behavior problems or better attendance. Forcing students to wear uniforms lead to more problems and misbehavior instead of encouraging discipline. Students could get into trouble if they did not wear their uniforms correctly. Many kids in today’s society cannot stand the thought of someone telling them what to do, especially what to wear. Instead of encouraging respect, uniforms may cause rebellions. For example, in 2009, a group of students at John A. Ferguson Senior High School rebelled against their school uniforms. Instead of following their school uniform requirements, the students wore what they thought would be a better school uniform to school. Not only uniforms don’t earn schools the respect from its students, but it may also lead to more problems.
The first reason why uniforms should not be worn in school is because uniforms do not allow individuality, and they don’t allow kids to express themselves. On the website www.instantanswers.com, it says, “School uniforms promote conformity against personality.” It also says, “ Children are raised to break free from all norms and stand out from every crowd in life, but the use of uniforms, do the very opposite.” Many children like expressing themselves through their clothes, and they want to be unique. But when everybody is wearing the same exact thing, children don’t have the freedom to do that.
