I think it is important to follow directions because if people didn’t follow directions we would have a lot of CHAOS in our world!!! The reason why we would have chaos is because kids would do drugs, have kids at REALLY young ages and there would probably be more homeless people. I think it is important to follow directions because for instance you could be walking across the street (say there’s no speed limit, red lights/stop signs or anything like that) you would obviously get hit by a car and most likely end up in the hospital or be dead on the spot. That’s why there are traffic rules that should be followed. Another reason following rules is important is if there were to be a man with a weapon at school. If a little kid didn’t pay …show more content…
If you don’t listen to your parents, you can grounded, have candy, your cell phone, or computer time taken away or have no friends over. In school, if you don’t listen to your teacher, you can be embarrassed in front of the class, have to do extra work (like this essay), lose class points, or even get kicked out of the class. You will also not get good grades because you wouldn’t be paying attention to learn anything. You could also distract other kids around you that want to learn. Another important thing is organization so you don’t lose things and keep important things in the places that they belong. I’ve learned that the hard way! I have spent a lot of time doing homework assignments, then misplaced them and was unable to turn them in. I also didn’t get 100% on my science binder since I couldn’t find some of my assignments and notes. I had a good talk with Mrs. Merolo and Fray about being organized. Mrs. Merolo helped me by giving me a folder where I could put my homework “to do” on one side and things to “turn in” on the other side. Fray taught me how to organize my assignments, quizzes, tests, bell work and notes in my binder, which has helped me to find my things when I need to study for quizzes and tests. I think I will be able to get better grades after this. Following rules also means following what it says on a sign. For example, stop signs, yield signs, traffic lights, mens and womens bathroom signs, pool signs (i.e. no
The reason it is important to follow directions is because for instance, if you walk across the street. If there’s no speed limit, red lights, stop signs, or anything, you would be seriously injured. Another reason following rules is important is because if there was a man to have a weapon to put everyone lives in danger. If the kid was to not pay attention to any of the drills given, he would be harmed or even kidnapped. For example, that’s what Mrs. Golden is always telling middle school students because we don’t follow directions, one day it will really happen and all of our lives will be put in danger.
Rules and laws are set in place for the protection and safety of all individuals. They are there to help deter any immoral and irresponsible behavior that may occur. Rules and laws are also established to help prevent chaos. Without such guidelines for people to follow, we would become nothing more than disorderly and destructive human animals.
These rules are displayed throughout the school and are referred to continuously by staff and children equally. We also have class rules that have been developed by the children themselves and are a positive device for encouraging good behaviour. The children can then monitor their own behaviour as well as the behaviour of other children in the class.
This includes prohibitions against assault and theft or respect for leaders (Source G). Given that students are at an age where they are extremely moldable, it is imperative that they learn these rules in school.
Another good key is to look out for the feedback which will help a lot in school that will get students to be better. Receiving feedback will help students by getting them to understand the assignment or getting to know the mistakes made. Lastly, work ethic is a good example for a student to have as a number one priority for school. Students should not procrastinate because waiting until the last minute to work on homework is a bad idea for not putting in the effort and not taking the time to do it.
Rules are rules, and rules are made to be followed by the students. For instance, if someone is acting inappropriately in the lab, such as not listening to the
“All school rules as outlined in the student handbook are to be followed at all time” (2). Other students can’t focus or learn if you are not following directions. You would want other students to follow the rules so you can learn, so please do the same for them. Not to mention, rules are to keep everyone safe. If you are running in the halls, you might knock someone over and they could fall backwards and get a concussion. This is why it is very crucial for all students to follow the rules.
I am going to be talking about rules and norms. First I am going to talk about rules. The definition of a rule is an explicit, officially stated guideline that governs group functions and member behavior. There are many examples of rules in the movie, but I am going to talk about one particular incident. In beginning of movie when the students first arrive for detention, Principal Vernon sets down the rules, what he expects them to do, and to behave under his supervision. He does this to show that he is the one in charge and they must follow his rules or face further Saturdays of detention. Now, I will show you this clip.
Finally, I was able to realize how inattentive I am during my classes. Although I am almost always physically present, I am not always mentally. I learned that I need to be more attentive in all of my classes. For example, while I remember hearing and reading that a term needed to be included in my Weekly News Analysis, it slipped away as I was writing and submitting. In addition, I forgot to complete my math homework due to my missed deadlines. Being more attentive in class will help me overall in learning and in receiving good
5. Have a planner to write down important dates like due dates for projects and to make sure you know what homework you need to have done.
With discussions, papers, reading that is due every week, and tests throughout the course. It will be a great importance to be on time and give my best work possible. Throughout my time learning my job I had to give best effort. With hard work and dedication it pays off. I finished third in my class in overall GPA. Also being in the Military I have learned the importance of being on time, time management, and integrity. Being on time and time management go together. If you have good time management skills you will be on time with assignments that you are giving. It will also build trust with your instructors and fellow class mates that you will be there to participate with the class. Integrity is the most important thing I have learned. It is more then just being truthful. It is a way of life that you must follow. You must have integrity with yourself and with those around you. Being true to your work that you do. Also reaching out for help when you need it. In Colossians 2:23 it says "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters," (NIV) My utmost goal is do my work to glorify God in all I do. From the small to the big
#2-Good note taking, notes help you with studying and on tests. Would you rather have notes about the subject you just learned or have no notes for a test? Good notes means a good grades.
Upon reviewing the “Best Strategies for success in school” I realize that I now apply many ideas I use to ignore to my school approach such as getting to know my instructors, breaking down projects into more manageable tasks to avoid procrastination, and staying healthy. All the strategies listed are important but the three key strategies that will remain with me the longest throughout my academic career will be to getting help with difficult class work early, keeping most
College is a competitive environment; in order to succeed in it a student needs certain skills. Those skills can only be learned. A college professor mentioned that there five basic rules that need to be followed in order to become a good student: study, do all the homework and the assigned reading, attend class, and, most importantly, develop self-discipline and time management 1. In the following lines, a detailed analysis of those different steps will be done. So, let’s get started.
There is really a need to look into the welfare of pupils so that they could achieve to the fullest. It is a fact that when a pupil has emotional or personal problems, he cannot make use of his potentialities. Guidance is a process of helping the individual to understand himself and his world so he can utilize his potentialities. Guidance is a process of helping the individual to understand himself and his world so he can utilize his potentialities (Shertzer and Stone, 2013). It is a process of helping individuals develop to the maximum of his capacity in the direction most beneficial to himself and his society Guidance is helping a person to see through himself in order that he may see himself through (Hamrin as cited by NSGMED, 2014).
