NOUN:1. That which is diametrically opposed to another: antipode, antipodes, antithesis, antonym, contrary, converse2, counter, opposite. Logic : contradictory, contrapositive. See SUPPORT. 2. A change from better to worse: backset, reversal, setback. See BETTER.
VERB:1. To turn sharply around: about-face, double (back). See APPROACH. 2. To take back or remove: lift, recall, repeal, rescind, revoke. See CONTINUE, LAW, MAKE. 3. To change to the opposite position, direction, or course: invert, transpose, turn (about, around, over, or round). See CHANGE.
