ADJECTIVE:1. Feeling great delight and joy: elate, elated, overjoyed. Slang : up. See HAPPY. 2. Abnormally increased, especially in intensity: heightened, high, raised. See INCREASE. 3. Being on a high intellectual or moral level: high-minded, moral, noble. See HIGH. 4. Being positioned above a given level: raised. See RISE. 5. Exceedingly dignified in form, tone, or style: eloquent, exalted, grand, high, high-flown, lofty. See HIGH, STYLE. 6. Raised to or occupying a high position or rank: august, exalted, grand, high-ranking, lofty. See RISE.
