city (1990 pop. 30,772), Wayne co., SE Mich., a suburb of Dearborn, on the Rouge River; settled 1825 as Moulin Rouge, renamed 1863, inc. as a city 1964. Its manufactures include fabricated metal products, storage tanks, and chemicals. Nearby auto plants have suffered from a decline in the auto industry since the 1970s and 80s.
