Steep Rock Lake
 
 
4 mi (6.4 km) long and 3 mi (4.8 km) wide, SW Ont., Canada, W of Lac des Mille Lacs. It is the site of important iron ore mining. Part of the lake was drained to facilitate the mining, and the flow of the Seine River was diverted.
