Slope and aspect are not important for this research, and I’d like to delete columns 7-9. While sunlight might contribute to the growth of the trees in the future. That question does not relate to current concerns and does not answer any questions. Wildfire point could tell us where a
heavy amount of dead wood would be and could tell us where to start looking or large beetle populations. We don't need column for each soil type, but I did allow a spot for two soil samples.
I'd still like the codebook to include the different soil types as it will be used as a key. The columns will allow two spots for each wilderness area for accuracy of soil samples that will use the number 1-40 to mark which soil type and 0 for absent. I will include a column for vertical distance to roadways and wildfires. I also dont think we need cover type since we know we are focusing on spruce/fir forest. This data doesn't cover certain landmarks like trails and campgrounds. It also does not include the other distances I added for vertical roadways and wildfires. This will reduce accuracy
to not have this information. Due to this not pertaining to any personal information, I do not believe it contains ethical issues. It is important to follow EPA protocols when dealing with invasive species though.
