Women have struggled for more than two centuries to be taken serious as professionals. There should not be a double standard in sports especially if it is loved and played by both genders. Over the years, females have competed against the stereotype of being too fragile both mentally and physically to play strenuous sports. The passion and work ethic of the female professional athletes is just as strong as the males and everyone should be treated equal and be able to have a chance at making a better living for themselves as well as their family. In the world of sports it started off that girls could never play sports and then in 1972 a public law called Title IX came to existence which allowed girls to play sports but not with boys. Today the question is asked should girls play on boys’ sports teams? One would think that girls should not play with boys on a sports team because boys are just naturally taller and stronger than women and they would dominate the girls in a fully contact sport. Another may think that if a girl is truly capable to play on an all boys’ sports team, then she should not be denied the opportunity to try out for an all boys’ team. The discrimination and stereotyping of women playing certain types of sports has become a problem much larger than anyone would think. Sexism in sports is a minoritized mindset throughout the world; even though women are practicing the exact same thing as men, they are still seen as a lesser player based on their gender. Sexsim is spreading like an epidemic to countries around the world, killing many dreams of young women in the world of sports especially.

When it comes to girls being able to play on sport teams, I favor this simply because it is a right for them to do so, the allegations formed against are unfair and unjust, and being placed on a team should be determined by skills, determination and abilities rather than gender.

“In the earliest generation of sports it was clear that men’s were much more developed and produced than women’s. Now to this day, the overwhelming difference of the two gender’s sports is significantly exposed. If the media were to equalize women’s sports to men’s then it would decrease the ratings, but the house should force the media to display, promote, and report women’s sports equally to men’s sports because increased media would essentially expand the fund for women’s sports and it would create role models for young women to get engaged in a sport.

Many would argue that females cannot take the roughness that comes to playing with males. According to Tamburrin and Tannsjo, Genetic Technology and Sport, “The sexual differences are simply irrelevant. If a female athletes can perform better than a male athlete, this female athlete should be allowed to compete with, and beat, the male athlete”. If women can serve to protect our country along with men, shouldn’t they be allowed to play a sport along with them also? In any instance, girls and boys with likely suffer from injuries, whether they are play with their gender or the opposite.

I think that women should be allowed to play in any sports, and if it's a physical sport it should be a woman’s league. First, I think women should be able to do anything that men can do. Additionally, women should get paid the same amount that men gets for the same sport. To add, women are no different from men, so women can achieve anything that a man can achieve.

The next aspect we’ll be looking at, is the advertisement point of view of gender equality within sports and sporting events. Women's sports never receive as much advertisement as men’s athlete teams do. You can use sports such as worms soccer for an example, along with UFC for an example of this and college and professional females basketball teams. 
For an example of this in a larger aspect, just imagine that someone offered for you to go to the NRG Stadium in Houston Texas where the stadium that had over 70,000 fans watching the 2016 D1 men’s NCCA championship basketball game for March Madness was taking place. You rarely see a sports team with boys and girls together. I strongly believe that girls shouldn’t be allowed to play on boys sport teams because boys are more aggressive when they are playing sports , which means that girls would be able to get hurt; boys are physically stronger and tougher than girls. It wouldn’t be fair to the girls, if girls and boys competed with or against each other the boys' team or the team with more boys would win. Lastly boys can touch the girls in an inappropriate way.

Gender inequality is becoming a worldwide problem as sports is now becoming a career. Women don’t get the same amount of opportunities, media attention, or pay as men causing the community, specifically feminists, to get aggravated about the unfairness. But is this gender gap reasonable due to the differences between male and female? In this report, women and men’s different treatment, physical abilities and reason behind the gender gap will be discussed. This situation is important because it will influence gender imbalance and chances in sport, and we are living in a world that is beginning to advertise gender equity.

Sexism limits our country. In a world where sexism still exists, women face challenges every day as they choose to embark in athletic activities. Even with the efforts of Title IX, which was established in 1972, there is not equality in sports for men and women. Sexism is real with stereotypes and discrimination on the basis of sex. Even with the high level of success reached by numerous female athletes of many different sports, male athletes always seem to have the upper hand. Whether it is pay, media, support, gear, or playing grounds, one sex always has the better of the two. Male athletes dominate a field that truly is shared by both sexes. What if we treated male athletes the way we treat female athletes? That is a world hard to imagine, and honestly, it shouldn't be. Through female athletes sharing their stories of unfair treatment and pay, sexism and generations of inequality in sports can be overcome.

There are always sports that women can’t do and I don’t think that’s fair.I believe that women can be just as good or even better in these sports they can’t play in. Women aren’t being treated respectful when others say they can’t do something because they are a female. We should all be treated fairly and have women play other sports.

Over the years the thought of women in sports have changed drastically. It is stated in Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972 that “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participating in, be denied the benefit of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.” This means that any person in America ARE allowed to participate in or tryout for a sport and cannot be denied the option to do so whether they are male or female.

Men Vs. Women in Professional Sports      Ever since the ancient Greece, men have held athletic competitions or sports. It is only in modern times that women have had an opportunity to compete. Most sports still don’t have men and women directly competing against one another. In the past athletic instructors adapted the rules to make sports less physically taxing for women. For instance in basketball, to ensure that girls maintain proper decorum, they were forbidden from snatching the ball and dribbling it more than three times in row. Females would not be considered strong enough to play a full-court basketball game until 1971. Women have struggled to be taken seriously as athletes for more than two centuries.

People might still say that the segregation of genders in sports are making gender equality impossible, but the separation of genders in sports is not because one gender is better than the other. It is to ensure the fairness and equality. Women and men are naturally built differently and they both are both truly strong but in different ways. In order to keep sports fair, just and equal, the best thing to do is to keep sports separated by
