The option for Metro Rail system in the proposed alignment will be the gigantic in terms of investment, about £2.45 billion shall be required to implement such gigantic project. Moreover, selected area is out of the urban zone which will not give the actual objects of enhance public transport.
2) Construction of Elevated Expressway from Dhaka(Mirpur Bridge) to Nabinagar (Dhaka):
Bangladesh Bridge Authority, Bridges Division, Ministry of Bridge Transport and Bridges, implementing19.73 kilometer long "Dhaka Elevated Expressway PPP Project" having total cost of £894 million (BDT 8940 crore) indicates that to construct 22.50 kilometer long expressway government need mammoth investment of about £1.02 billion (£45.31 million per km) (Bangladesh Bridge Authority, 2016).
