In 2008, AMC launched its dine-in program and it is still growing today. They have more than fifty dine-in theaters in eleven different states which have gross revenues of more than $40 million (Puente). They offer four different dine-in environments. Cinema Suites is an adult theater which has recliners and offers a full bar. Fork and Screen is a family friendly theater which has a menu for all ages. AMC Red Kitchen’s menu consists of burgers, sushi, and milkshakes. Last, MacGuffins Bar and Lounge offers beer, wine, and assorted cocktails (AMC). AMC also has an event portion that plays independent films and sensory films that create a safe environment for all ages. They offer sporting events, concerts, classics, and art shows, such as ballets (Carmike Cinemas). Regal Entertainment has opened a dine-in theater called Cinebarre in 2007. Cinebarre is a restaurant and theater combination that is located in seven different states. These theaters are for ages eighteen and up. They serve drinks, appetizers and entrees (Schuker). Regal also offers special events at their theaters. For example, they are hosting Star Wars marathons where they will play all seven of the films on Saturdays for a specific amount of time. This allows them to attract a specific customer base (Regal Entertainment Group). Cinemark has opened a nine-screen, dine-in movie theater in Colorado where it offers luxurious recliners and drinks, such as beer, wine, and cocktails.
