When you think of Oklahoma what do you think of ? Do you think of red dirt, the dust bowl, the OKC Thunder team? I bet you don't think of riots. Yes of course many states experienced riots but the Oklahoma Tulsa Riot was considered one of the worst urban conflicts in U.S history. I'm pretty sure you’ve never heard of it because it is largely overlooked in Oklahoma’s school history books and lessons.
Race and oppression are some of the contributing factors, and seem to be common threads in many violent encounters between rioters and police. There are several similarities between the Los Angeles and Baltimore riots. Communities and law enforcement organizations must analyze the root cause and improve relationships before, during, and after these encounters. Law enforcement leaders must take initiative to successfully handle the crisis and anticipate the community’s expectations to the desired response.

From the start, Los Angeles was becoming disconnected from its people as a whole. As the diversity of cultures seemed to grow slowly in population. Decades seemed to surpass, as it did so, shift seemed to rise into an intense racial isolation amongst cultures. It seemed as though whites held the power, while the minorities just played as their pawns. The African-American and Hispanic communities were one of the biggest and angriest minority communities in LA. The LA Riots were initiated when Rodney King was not given the justice he deserved. The American people became enraged and more divided than ever. Segregation commenced when LA seemed to be forming as a city, but because minorities were not given the equality they deserved, chaos arose. As detachment became regular, the lack of morality brought segregation to its ultimate peek.
What happened during the riots, it is something that won’t be easily forgotten. For African Americans, Koreans and Caucasians as well, this was a tough experience where they all were involved and affected. For some of them the peace came to their minds, but for others, the hatred remained in their lives. There is always a chance that the Riots may happen again. Considering the disparities of thoughts among people and cultures, it may come a moment where these can turn the lasting ashes into flames. However, there are some strategies all communities can do in order to prevent the riots.

Painful electroshock therapy was often enforced upon those who displayed homosexual behavior. They were the objects of public suspicion, job discrimination, and outright violence. Gays, lesbians, and other sexual minority groups were stigmatized by society and harassed by law enforcement (“The Stonewall Riots”). The negative perception of homosexuality began to change in the 1940s as it gradually

The media from the Korean prospective were perpetuating and sensationalizing negative stereotypes between the two
The rally that happened in Charlottesville, Virginia is a controversial issue in the United States that has caused a stir between the minority and majority population. This event is a clear example of the issues that were involved during the creation of the new strong government.
