Steve exhibited extremely good creative-thinking skills. He had the rare gift of knowing what the general public wanted, even before they realized they wanted it. He was also quite ruthless when it came to adopting other technology (some would prefer to call it "stealing"). While many other companies are known for doing the same types of practices, Apple seems to be one of the most obvious examples.
Steve Jobs was never shy about his adoption of other technology. His basic copying of Xerox 's PARC technology was even explained in a candid interview as him taking their technology, improving it a bit and selling it to more people. He seemed to be able to take good ideas, modify them a bit, and sell them to a much larger audience.
His marketing abilities were probably his best skill. The logo itself has become an icon and a symbol that means much more than a mere computer. Apple, with its core (no pun intended) fans have developed a relationship that mirrors very few other organizations. Like Harley Davidson is to motorcycles, Apple is to digital devices.
His task motivation was the sleek, modern, streamlined look of both hardware and software. The devices they made were easy to use for newcomers and owning an Apple product became a status symbol based on more than just a premium price.
Personalities Involved
Steve Jobs - Creator and President of Apple Inc.
Steve Wozniak - Jobs ' partner and main computer builder and programmer of the early Apple I and
“We worked hard, and in 10 years Apple had grown from just the two of us in a garage into a $2 billion company with over 4,000 employees.” This fact shows us that he was just a normal person just like us, and that he started out on his own. It shows us how far he truly has come. It also allows people to realize that they can do anything they set their mind to, just like Jobs did.
With the creation of a company like Apple, room for innovation and renovation was always possible. The free enterprise system allowed room for great financial success and greatly appealed to consumer demand needs or wants. Their very first launch of the first PC and Ipod MP3 Music Player grasped the attention quickly in the consumer demand market. His technology skyrocketed as he innovated goods that were advances for the people in their daily lives. Apple was greatly set up with their great alliances in the enterprise industry with companies such as: IBM, Cisco, SAP, JAMF, etc. Apple also includes OS (operating
At first, technology is the most crucial element that shaping the brand of Apple and it operations. There are three components in this element are innovation, convenience and internal development. Firstly, let talk about innovation, one of the components that fabricated the success of Apple. Years ago, Nokia and Motorola were companies that dominated the mobile phone and software market. Therefore, in order to survive, prospect and remain competitive, Apple applied the philosophy of innovation by creating new products with unique design and function (Nonaka & Kenny, .n.d.). The circumstance forced Steve Jobs to become not only creative, but also demanding, strict and persuasive executive to motivate employee in the process of creating new mobile phone device and software, which led to the creation of the IOS system, iphone and Mac software. In every operation, he is extremely strict and even autocratic in setting goal and strategy and reward based on employee’s performance with the standard of excellent result and has no qualm in berating
In conclusion, Steve Jobs was a very important person in the world of electronics. Steve’s adoption father introduced him to mechanics. In his career he Co-founded Apple and created computers. While in his later life he founded NeXT which was bought by Apple. Overall, Steve Jobs made an impact in the world of
In this way he contributed a lot to the development process of the Apple products. Through his individual view of the world he kept on striving for new, innovative products and this makes him partly responsible for the development process itself.
Steve Jobs, the Co-founder of Apple Computer, invented the iMac, MacBook, iPod, iPhone, and iPad. Those five products have become revolutionary to today’s modern world. Steve Jobs is famous for dropping out of college, but still attended art and philosophy classes at Reed College, Portland. He later went on to study abroad in India to learn about Eastern culture and religion. When he came back to the U.S.A., Steve Wozniak was trying to build a computer.
Steve Jobs was best known as the CEO of Apple. Which has found its way into the majority of consumers hands. 55 million homes in the United States alone contain at least one apple product according to CNBC’s All-American Economic Survey. This high number was largely caused by Steve Jobs. He had a very hands on approach as a CEO. He went beyond overseeing everything and making the final decisions, he was involved in everything Apple produced during his time there. He often aided in drawings and engineering of new products. Through his vision he put smart phones, the internet, and a whole world of information into the public's hands. He started a wave of new technology that exploded in America. During his last full year at Apple he sold 3.89 million Macbooks, 14.1 million iPhones, and 9.05 million iPods. This growth of technology reshaped America. All of a sudden the access of information was available at consumers fingertips 24/7.
Steve Jobs was innovative. Early in his life, Steve teamed up with a computer wiz named Stephen (Steve) Wozniak. Together, they revolutionized the computer interface with something called a Graphical User Interface, or GUI. Though the public thought GUI just made using a computer more “clanky”, people quickly adjusted to it.
Steve Jobs started out in his garage making computers out of scrap metal. He realized that there was a huge gap in computers. At the time computers were huge and you would have to stay in one room to use it. Also, they were expensive and the only ones that could afford them were millionaires. He thought that computers should be small and affordable.
They didn 't care about that anymore. They didn 't have a clue about how to do it and they didn 't take any time to find out because that 's not what they cared about. They cared about making a lot of money so they had this wonderful thing that a lot of brilliant people made called the Macintosh and they got very greedy and
Background: Apple was founded by 2 high school friends named Steven Wozniak and Steven Jobs. They both excelled in the electronics field. After high school, Wozniak got a job with Hewlett-Packard and Jobs worked for the Atari Company. Wozniak was the first one that started dabbling with a computer which he later named Apple 1. He tried to sell it, but did not have any success initially. He later designed Apple II, which was launched at a trade show as the first personal computer with color graphics and a case. Wozniak had been dabbling in computer-design for some time when, Jobs, who had an eye for the future, insisted that he and Wozniak try to sell the machine.
As millions around the world swipe through their iPhones today, not much thought is given to the visionary man who played a pivotal role in the development of this innovative device. Steve Jobs, the man behind the development of iPhone and multiple other devices such as the iPods, iPads etc., was the backbone of Apple Inc. (CNBC Titans: Steve Jobs, 2011). Under his guidance and supervision, Apple Inc. has achieved new heights by re-defining the manner in which we, as consumers of electronics, interact with technology (Kane & Fowler, 2011). Apple Inc. not only introduced new and innovative devices into the market but also fulfilled Jobs vision of taking complicated technologies and simplifying them so that they can be used as consumer products (CNBC Titans: Steve Jobs, 2011). Jobs’ technology company was unique from others as it was the “one that developed tightly integrated packages of hardware and software.” (Steve Jobs: Insanely Great, 2011). Jobs creative ideas and visionary thinking enabled Silicon Valley to transform from a fruit orchard into the technology industry’s innovation center of U.S. today (Kane & Fowler, 2011).
A young man, who was adopted as a child by middle-class parents, developed an interest for electronics and grew to become one of the most valuable visionaries to ever grace our electronic devices. Many other industry leaders acknowledge him as being one of the most innovative. Steve Jobs was co-founder of Apple Computer, and a successful leader in the world of technology. He was successful in, not only creating cutting-edge products but, building a company where employees were malleable to his charismatic style of leadership.
Steve Jobs, though mostly known for being the co-founder and CEO of Apple, was also the founder of another computer software company called NeXT, as well as the man who brought Pixar, a computer based production company, into light. Mainly through Apple, Steve revolutionized the way society manipulates technology. If you have seen Pixar produced films, such as “Toy Story” or “Monsters, Inc.”, Jobs had a direct impact on those films. Steven Paul Jobs was undoubtedly the most significant person in the journey to making home computers accessible to everyone.
When thinking of the many products created under Steve Jobs leadership and their impact throughout the world, it would be reasonable for one to assume that any one of the innovative products would be viewed by Steve Jobs as his greatest achievement, however this would be wrong. When Walter Isaacson asked Steve Jobs about “…his most important creation, thinking he would answer the iPad or the Macintosh. Instead he said it was Apple the company. Making an enduring company, he said, was both far harder and more important than making a great product” (Isaacson, 2012). Apple has become the world’s most valuable company and as the company’s co-founder, this is Steve Jobs greatest achievement.
