Art is a human construct, it is bound to the artist that creates it just like each person is bound to the age in which they live. Art is as much a part of the artist, as words are part of the person that spoke them. It is the Human Spirit to want to progress from your predecessor, to use your forerunner's knowledge to break away and accomplish more. Art, being intrinsically entertained with the Human Spirit follows this trend. Each style having a base of knowledge from a previous style, but instead of replicating it, taking it further. No matter how drastically the symbols of religion, or the representative imagery of the physical world changes, art will constantly be reinterpreted to instill the same emotion and stance on power that has been seen in the past. It does not matter the age nor the people of the era, art will always have the same power over us that it has had before. All that will change is who is using art and what they are using it for. There will always be those who harness the power of art, as there will be those that are subject to the affect in which that type of art will have on them.

The artist themselves have played a lot of vital roles in history which still affect and shape how our lives are today. There have been a lot of artwork, that artist has done, that in the past that is now a part of our now history. They have used art as a form of record keeping, used it to shape the trend of society itself and visual expression, visually express an opinion about an event or topic.

Throughout history art has been used to document the occurrences of the time period in which it was created. One may believe that art is nothing more than a painting or drawing; however, art has a much more complex definition as it is never-ending. A lot of people think that art can only go as far as a class in school, but in reality there is art around everyone. Art can be a way of life for some people, and for others it is simply just something they pass every single day.
