There will be no more than a six (6) inch high step between the kitchen floor and the deck. Project Requirements The deck will be constructed according to the Homeowners' approved architectural plans that meet County construction requirements, including zoning (setbacks) and safety, as well as the Homeowners' Association (HOA) covenants and restrictions. Deck construction will be completed for no more than $10,000 and the site will be cleaned and turned over to the Homeowner no later than 4:00pm local time on 3 July 2012. The deck will be deemed complete when the County's inspector and Homeowner sign off on the construction. Deliverables The completed deck is the main deliverable from this project. Other deliverables include the clean-up of the construction area and the landscaping work to the backyard. Exclusions Landscaping outside of the backyard will not be completed as part of the project. Repairs to the deck after construction are also out of scope for this project, unless damage is proved to be caused by initial workmanship. Constraints Project constraints include the pre-set budget of $10,000 and the deadline of 4:00pm local time on 3 July 2012. Assumptions Project assumptions include the Homeowner’s intent to construct a composite material deck and that there will be no Homeowner-driven alterations of the original deck design for aesthetic reasons.
