There I was in a foreign land, lodged in the seats of the cramped van as I pondered thoughts of my future. I was an eighth grader about to enter the arduous experience and intimidating environment of high school. I perceived visions of me struggling through the drudgery of work as well as events where I was given laudations for my witty ideas and prestigious accomplishments. Mixed emotions drowned my brain into a swamp of careless stress, but these were flushed as the abrupt stop of the car brought me out of my daydream. That day was a day I would remember forever, but I was just a child, unknown about what I was going to see. The ground was frosted with the elegant silver sand which oozed between my toes for every step I took. Every grain of the glossy particles tickled my feet as I immediately launched it backwards while progressing through my walk. The immense amber sunlight punctured my eyes forcing me to briefly avert to pull out my sunglasses. I slowly placed the stiff ends of the glasses above my ear until I observed my surroundings drop a level of brightness. I made out the glossy, tall glass buildings and skyscrapers created a mountain range across the thin horizon. A gust of wind hurled a storm of sand across practically into outer space, causing it to be even harder to identify the building shapes. The beryl sea went through metamorphosis and transformed into a gorgeous light blue shade for every time the sun struck it. The sea whispered to the seagulls and pigeons who constantly screeched as they scanned the territory in search of the smallest item they can call eatable. With hunger in their stomachs, they continued to screech while they pinched one another with their golden beaks over a simple stale, moldy french fry. A heard the chair calling for me since my body was worn out from the long drive, so I threw myself onto the firm plastic chair to rest.
