| Learning Project 1, Part 4-6 | | | LP1, Part 4: What are others' experiences of me when I am my best? Phase 1: Creating the Reflected Best-Self Portrait When I am at best, I help people. I motivate myself and feel motivated when I get to help others. Whether it’s a stranger, colleague, friends, or family, I feel my passion in assisting those in need. As long as it’s within my capability and moral belief that what people ask for help is ethical and legal, I give them my attention and time. I feel happy that I am able to give a hand, and I feel happy to see people become happy with the help I give them. Helping others put smiles on my face and also on them as well. I believe that we can achieve what we have envisioned in our lives as we consistently not only believe it but confidently work hard toward that belief. Such is my principle and conviction
Everybody believes in different or similar things in life. I believe in thinking positive, I believe in never giving up, I believe in working hard, I believe in accepting others, I believe in being generous, I believe in taking chances, I believe in making changes, I believe in having faith.
I have always enjoyed helping people out. In my school they have a club called National Honors Society. This club gives people more of an opportunity to do community service hours. Everyone is required to complete fifteen hours a year. Last year I completed over twenty five hours of community service. Every time I saw I had an opportunity I would take it. I don't see those fifteen hour requirements as the only way to be and stay in this club; I see it as an opening to be able to help my community all for a return of a smile. People need to see that there are others just like me, who are willing to help, and want the best for others, for nothing in return. I have never known why it is that helping others when they are needed makes me feel happy. In a way, it's one of my happiness's. I know what it's like to have a need and to not have anyone around to help. I am the kind of person who doesn't want others to feel that way, at least not all the time. I know every day someone has a need of some kind and they can't do anything about it. That's what people like me are for, to help out even if it's just every once in a while. Events all around constantly need help setting things up or just need a little help. All the help people can get is always good enough. I am taking responsibility to help people see that not everyone is selfish, not everyone takes advantage of things. I am always grateful to be able to give my time to my community, my people. America needs more people who are willing to give. Donations can be made to hospitals or orphanages. I do community service and projects now, they may be little, but I know they still matter. In my future, I see myself to continue my route, possibly even creating bigger community projects. Because America can only focus on so much, people like me are able to take care of the rest of the

I believe in aspiring to be the greatest person you can be and overcoming obstacles in life- no matter how big or how small.
My worldview is that I get what I give. I believe I only get out what I put in. As a result, I try to put forth my best effort in everything that I do. My top values are
I love to help people. The other day one of the kids in my group at work asked if I could help her get across the monkey bars. When we got to the monkey bars she began to cry because she did not believe she could do it. Her arms shook and her feet trembled. “You can do it; I will be right with you. You won't fall,” I reassured her. She started to smile and she too believed she could do the monkey bars. The first attempt was a bit rough, she had started to panic when she got halfway done and looked down. But, on the second attempt, she did not need me at all. She swung her hands from bar to bar and crossed the playground without a doubt. When she finished we were both grinning from ear to ear ecstatic to tell her father the good news. Some people might think this was just me helping a little girl do the monkey bars but to me, this was helping a little girl believe in herself and that is something she will hold on to forever. Helping her gave me the greatest joy, a feeling I wish everyone could know. I enjoy helping others whenever I can, that is why I am an active member in my church youth group, to help people and the community.
There has always been a desire for in me to help others who can be in difficult situations or in need of help. This desire has pushed me to pursue a career within the social work field. There have been numerous instances in my life, where I took the chance to help others before helping myself. Whether these instances dealt with my family, friends, peers or strangers, I have always seen the worth in helping others. Putting others before myself has always been an enjoying experience because I am able to be selfless and provide opportunities to others who might not have the resources or help to do so. Knowing that I can have a great impact on others’ lives by directing them to resources or listening to their experiences excites me because I want
ethic and devotion to others are two qualities that act as a reflection of my passion for
Compassion, integrity, love, kindness, and selflessness all exist among us. I believe that there is nothing evil in us that cannot be overcome by what is good in us. I must act accordingly.
4. Give back. I spend a lot of time volunteering, not just because it makes me feel good, but it’s important to remember life isn’t always perfect, it can be humbling and volunteering can help you gain perspective that we sometimes miss as we get wrapped up in our busy
I have never been asked a more challenging question than “what is your core belief?”. I know what motivates me and I know what I am passionate about, but what I truly believe was tough. I spent about two weeks trying to figure it out and I what I truly believe in is happiness. Maybe that is not an answer that one would expected, but at the root of every belief that I have happiness exist. Happiness is what motivates me the most.

I believe in the power of self-determination. This value is without a doubt significant to me. I believe that self-determination is the key to establishing a successful life. Holding this value throughout life is how one is able to create opportunities, which can lead to the accomplishment of many things.
I believe in doing things by myself. No one needs to do things for me especially if I know how to do it. I was always taught to do things by myself and not anybody else doing it for me.
