Big Bang Theory or a Big Fabrication The concept of creation has boggled human’s minds for centuries. Human nature has an intuitive sense of longing for an answer to solve the unknown, and creation embodies the concept of unknown. In an effort to compile reason and scientific knowledge, an explanation of the formation of the universe was formed and is widely known as The Big Bang Theory. The Big Bang Theory is considered, “…the leading scientific explanation for the formation of the universe” (Howell). The Big Bang Theory articulates that before this event there was nothing; and after it there was something. This suggestion to how the universe was created was originally born from the sighting that the surrounding galaxies are moving away from our own at an immense speed as if they had been propelled by some force (Howell). The standard theory states that the entire universe originated as a condensed, infinitely pressured, singularity, which defies the laws of today’s understanding of physics. It is a misconception this event occurred as an explosion; rather it resembled more of an expansion. At one moment there was nothing in existence and in the following, the universe expanded as a balloon would, from a sub atomic particle, to all that it is today. This notion of how the universe was created, is nothing more than a shot into the dark, literally, and holds no validity. At this exact moment there are roughly 100,000
In most philosophy and in modern science, there exists the idea that there is no such thing as “nothing”. Modern science cannot explain the existence of anything before or after the physical universe, although proving that there was a time when the universe did not exist (about 13.7 billion years ago). The All, in the Hermetic tradition, is the title given to that “nothing”. The All is everything that was, and everything that will be – it cannot grow because it is already everything, and cannot be lessened because that would imply something reaching beyond The All. Now, back to the cave. To understand the origin of our universe, one needs to grasp what I learned from Plato’s cave; that all things have a substantial reality. That being the case, it is only fair that the universe should have a substantial reality
Where did our universe come from? It is one of the most fascinating questions that we can think about. One thing that makes this question so interesting is the fact that there are only two possible answers; God, or some other being like God created our universe, or a natural process created our universe, but which is it? Did God or Nature create the universe that we live in? All those questions need a deep breath and good analysis to find the answer. On William Lane Craig’s “Philosophical and Scientific Pointers to Creatio Ex Nihilo,” Craig has an amazing argument about the beginning of the universe. Craig supported his idea, which is the universe has a beginning, by a series of premises. The first one is that “an actual infinite cannot exist,” the second one is that “a beginningless series of events in time is an actual infinite,” and the last one is that “a beginningless
In this essay, I will be arguing against Aquinas’ Cosmological Argument that every motion can only be traced back to the creator of all motions and ultimately, the universe. First I will present Aquinas’ Cosmological argument regarding motion which directly concludes that a higher being, who is not dependent on the motion of any other thing or being, must exist to have caused the existence of the universe. I will also present opponents of this argument such as David Hume who argues that a “First Mover” might not even be needed to exist but rather that an infinite regress could be the explanation of the universe and that no explanation for what initiated this infinite chain of motions is required. Finally, I will disclose my personal opinion on the issue of how all of existence began. My standpoint will be much more inclined toward Hume’s argument against Aquinas but I will be presenting a new idea with a lot of scientific backup that neither of them could have possibly taken into account at the time.
In chapter two of the book “Problems from Philosophy”, by James Rachels, the author guided us through the process in which the topic of God and the origin of the universe was discussed and argued. There were many arguments many arguments towards this topic from both a religious belivers view point, and a non-believer. The main points in this chapter were the arguments, like the argument from design, the best-explanation argument, the same-evidence argument, the theory of Natural selection, and the first cause argument.
The secular model to describe the way the universe is created and built is called the Big Bang.
The Big Bang is a very popular theory among both Christians and non-Christians. However, it is not totally unquestionable, if it were there would be no more arguments concerning the creation of the world. The main question asked about the Big Bang is “Who, or what triggered it?”

You don’t just get a universe from nothing, it doesn’t just appear from thin air. One of the biggest religions in the world, Mormonism, better known as mormons, believe that our whole planet was made in six days by a man they call, God. It is almost impossible to think that one man created earth, all it’s beings, all its foods, its plants, its animals, and so much more just like that. There is so little proven, and so much unproven that it’s hard not to ask the question of: “Is any of it really true?” Greta Christina wrote one article in Alternet that has a lot of great points, one of the many being: “The proof comes from prophets and religious leaders, who supposedly hear these voices and are happy to tell the rest of us what they say. It
After conducting an hour-long observation and data collection of The Big Bang Theory, I found three specific patterns. These were patterns of traditional gender roles, heterosexual privilege, and gender performance. The first pattern is the traditional breadwinner and housewife roles that are portrayed throughout the episodes. In the show women are seen occupying the household while the men occupy the workplace. These traditional roles reinforce gendered behaviors and interactions amongst the male and female character that reflect modern day society.
This paper looks at the Big Bang Theory. It examines the history of the theory and the scientific ideas on which it is based. It also examines some of the evidence proving the Big Bang and addresses some of the more common arguments against it.
There are many topics that science and religion have opposing views on and continue to debate. One of these subjects that has received a great deal of attention and has placed an enormous wedge between the two realms is the varying opinions concerning the creation of the universe. For nearly a century, scientists have explained this phenomenon with the Big Bang theory, whereas spiritual thinkers have long placed their faith in the Genesis creation account. Both submit valid arguments, however, it is ultimately up to each individual to decide which testimony to accept as truth and to consider if it is possible that both opinions could co-exist.
I agree with the lecture because we humans as curious creatures, always need some kind of explanation to the origin of the universe. Early humans didn’t have the correct answers of the universe, they used what they had at the time and what made sense to them as explanations. When the universe was only 10,000 years old, early humans used myths and stories to explain cosmos and creation, because that was all they had. They praised the gods and goddesses for the natural resources they had to live on. As time went on, (40,000 years ago) Australian Abnormal Culture cosmos evolved into art and music, expressing their connection with animals, landscape, and the sky; believing what little they knew about how the universe originated. As civilization
There have been many theories concerning what the universe looks like, how it became this way, and where it is going. The most popular theory that people hold today is that the universe began when all the matter ever present in the universe was contained in a tiny speck and that spec exploded. This is known as the Big Bang. This theory has developed a great deal since it was first conceptualized and continues to evolve today. Many different scientists have had a hand in this.
When space and the universe began, the existence of time also began. This theory is well-known as the Big Bang Theory. About fifteen billion years ago, the universe was comprised of very hot compressed gas, as a fireball. This is contrary to the idea of the universe beginning as a lump of matter somewhere in the void of space. Matter was created as a result of the Big Bang.
Astronomers believed the Universe was created about 14 billion years ago. During that time, the entire Universe was inside a bubble that was thousands of times smaller than a pinhead, and it was insanely hot and dense. Out of nowhere this little bubble started expanding. This expansion created what we know as the Universe. In such little time the Universe went from the size of an atom to the ginormous galaxy we have that is continuously growing.
