Anyone that enjoys football enjoys the excitement that comes with the game. A lot of the excitement that comes with football is the touchdowns. After touchdowns, it has become customary to celebrate. These celebrations have become more tame over the years, thanks to Commissioner Roger Goodell and his anti-fun ways. Long gone are the days of using the pylon to play miniature golf or stashing a cell phone under the goal post and making a phone call. The most extreme celebration one will see nowadays is a little dance or giving the football to a kid in the crowd. Unfortunately, the media and many other people are trying to make big deal about Cam Newton celebrating his touchdowns with his signature superman

The media does not like the idea of someone other than Tom Brady or Peyton manning dominating the quarterback position, especially a black quarterback. It is time for the media to move into 2015 like the rest of the world is.
In order for Cam Newton to get the respect he deserves, the media has to learn to accept that Cam is here to stay and is an elite talent. How many teams are still undefeated in the NFL this season? There is only one and it just so happens to be Cam Newton’s Panthers. With the season that Cam has had, he should be a near lock for MVP, but the media still keeps bringing up other names like Tom Brady. What people fail to realize is that Newton is putting up these numbers with very few receivers. Ted Ginn is the number one receiver for the Panthers and he has never been more than a number three option in his career. Newton does have a great tight end in Greg Olson, but for the most part is single handedly carrying this team with his legs and his arm. It is time for Newton to be put in the positive spotlight. Super Cam is good for the NFL and good for the African American community. He broke the mold and proved that an African American can be a great quarterback in the NFL and have a ton of fun while doing it. Next time you see number 1 flashing that contagious smile and celebrating a big touchdown, embrace it because we are witnessing something
As these first couple of weeks of the NFL regular season start up, Reporters and Journalists look out into the grand fields, where professional football players make their living. The black athletes, like most players in the league, are always looking
Tom Brady deserves to be on my ESPN magazine cover because he the greatest football player of all time. He is a 5x Super Bowl Champion, 4x Super Bowl MVP, and a 12x time Pro Bowler. Tom Brady has conquered an enormous amount of adversity. Tom Brady struggled to earn a starting spot at the University of Michigan throughout his college career. After he finished college, he continued to face adversity in the NFL. At the combine Brady was seen as one of the lowest quarterbacks in the combine. He ran a 5.28 on the 40 yard dash and this combine report was written about him: poor build, skinny, lacks great physical stature and strength, lacks mobility and ability to avoid the rush, lacks a really strong arm, can’t drive the ball downfield, does not
But now there are NFL players beginning to protest against Kaepernick and are becoming the
Tom Brady is hated by many fans of the NFL. A lot of people hate him because they say he gets everything he wants or that he wins too much. People also hate him for things they are not even sure that he did. People do not understand that he was not always a star. Tom Brady has had a significant impact on today's society because he is an example of how underdogs can become champions, is an example of how to overcome cheating allegations, and how he is the best quarterback to ever play in the NFL.
The reason why i think that this is the most important reason why is that a Super Bowl is the main goal heading into a season and when you achieve that goal five times that’s impressive (“Tom”, Biography). Which Peyton Manning has done it twice but that’s nothing to Brady. Plus Peyton Manning only played good in one of those Super Bowls while Brady has never played a bad Super Bowl in his career (“Peyton”, Biography). The recent Super Bowl was the Patriots vs Falcons and the final score in that game was 34-28, it will go down in history as one
They never expected that this team would go on to win the National Championship. Throughout the 2010 season Cam Newton went through much controversy and scrutiny, but the Auburn community stood behind him with full support the whole way. Cam Newton led the Auburn Tigers to an undefeated season, SEC championship, and their first National Championship in fifty-three years (Roll Tide War Eagle).
Is Tom Brady really the G.O.A.T? Nobody thought they would be talking about Tom Brady going down as the best Quarterback in football history. Brady has been in the league for 15 years and has broken so many records and has some more to break. Brady also has a 172-51 win to lose record which is 3rd of all time for a Quarterback, he also has a couple more years in the League.
Walter Payton, running back for the dominant 1985 Chicago Bears team that went 15-1 and won the Superbowl, is one of the best running backs in NFL history. Walter Payton was also known for his philanthropy off the field, earning him the nickname “Sweetness”. There is now an award given out every year called the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, which recognizes players for their charitable contributions off the field as well as their excellence on the field. The last recipient of this award was Thomas Davis, a Carolina Panthers linebacker. Walter “Sweetness” Payton died in 1999 of cancer. He was one of the most influential athletes in history, not just due to his ability on the field, but also because of his persona. Stats, influence on the game, and persona off the field are how a player’s influence should be measured. The three most influential quarterbacks of the last twenty five years of the twentieth century are Warren Moon, Joe Montana, and Jim Kelly.
Cameron Jerrell Newton is an American football player who is the quarterback for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League. He is a two-time Pro Bowl selection. Newton led the Tigers to a national championship and led the nation with 50 total touchdowns. he was sacked six times in the super bowl.
The Seahawks looked like they had it in the bag until they threw a game losing interception. After winning his third Super Bowl, Tom Brady was on top of the world, until a scandal about how he won his third Super Bowl was out. Officials say that the ball used in the AFC championship was underinflated by Tom Brady. Accusations started swirling about Tom Brady and if he really deserves a Super Bowl title. Eventually the ruling was overturned and Tom Brady was Scot free. No one knows if Tom Brady deserved his last Super Bowl. All we know is that he’s having another MVP type season and he might win another championship. So when it comes down to stats, awards, Championships, games won, and the obstacles he overcame Tom Brady is undoubtedly The best quarterback of all
Larry Fitzgerald a record earning wide receiver from the American Cardinals was the fourth overall pick in the 2004 draft (a draft is when NFL teams select eligible college football players for their team) and currently ranks fifth in all time NFL history in receiving yards per game. On November 24th , 2013, at 30 years old, he became the youngest NFL receiver to reach 11,000 career receiving yards. He agreed to an eight year, 120 million dollar contract extension on August 20, 2011.
His stats would tell us he is but really, how important are stats, considering the other three we’ve mentioned had outstanding numbers. However, when Brandon Streeter, quarterbacks coach for Clemson, was asked about how Watson would fair in the NFL, he had nothing but a positive outlook for his star. “He eats and breathes football. He’s in the film room all the time. He’s a gym rat type of kid, and that’s what NFL quarterbacks are made of. I think he’s going to have no problem transitioning to the NFL.”
One reason Brown had problems finding his post secondary education and spot in the 2010 draft was because of his rough upbringing and living poorly. Some also thought his size would hold him back from being a star. We have one word for all those scouts who passed on him, whelp!
“Brett Favre is one of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of professional football. You are judged by winning, and he’s won more games than any other quarterback who has ever played. But I will remember him just as well for being such a fierce competitor and outstanding leader. He was the face of the Packers and a great credit to our game. It was an honor to coach against him.”(Mike Shanahan, Denver Broncos Head Coach) Brett’s passion for the game, and winning history, together earned him the respect of the entire football nation. I am going to give you a summary of this incredible athlete’s life, covering both the ups and downs of his bumpy road to success. I am using factual
