Education is important in today's society. It is needed for almost everything, from getting a basic job like being a nanny to becoming a high class cardiac surgeon. For some people education is the best thing, which it is, but if you’re like me, you hate it. Don't get me wrong, sometimes school is too much and assigns lots of homework but education leads to a great future. My path to success has been bumpy and not at all straight. When I started high school I received all credits, it was a breeze. My tenth grade year I figured since I passed ninth grade effortlessly, I would swap out of Apex and into IB. That was possibly one of the worst educational mistakes I've ever made. I failed terribly, and got behind in credits. Till this day …show more content…
For so long school had been a necessity. It leads to an extraordinary future and financial stability. Which is something we need with our economy. Unfortunately I'm not sure what I want for myself in the future. I love writing and reading so being an author or blogger would seem ideal. I'm so indecisive about what I want to do for my career, but writing is definitely an option I would consider. Procrastination is one of my worst habits, I still struggle with it. As well as attendance was a major issue for me. That is part of the reason I failed classes last year, as well as catching up on homework was quite hard. My procrastination also did not help. It was very hard, but one good quality I have in school is I retain information. Which makes schools a lot easier at times. There are many reason why I despise school, but as I said, education is a major key in life and success. Learning expands your brain. It can give more opportunities to my future. The more options the better it will be to have a good paying job and a stable household. So even though I hate school, it's very important for us, and it can lead to an extraordinary chance to an amazing
Throughout my childhood and up into my middle school years, I had a solid plan for my life: to be an air traffic controller. It seemed like the perfect career for me. I am a highly organized and alert person. I like structure and to have control over the situations that surround me. And, most importantly, I find great satisfaction in helping others to meet their objectives and safely land at their desired destination. Air traffic control was the only career for me. I had my whole life planned out, including the exact airport where I would work. No one or nothing could sway me from the goals that I had set for myself.

A long time ago I moved to Denton, Texas for school, attended Texas Woman's for 4 semesters than dropped out.
A college education will take me many places and open up many career opportunities for me. Without a college education, I would not be prepared for the cruel world. Going to college will help me develop the skills that are essential to be successful in this world. The motto that pushes me to get through my day is “you only get out what you put in”. Throughout my time in college, I have learned more about myself, and who I truly am. By keeping myself involved on campus, I have made connections and have built relationships with my peers. After my time at Kansas State University, my goal is to become a physical therapist because it will allow me to help make an impact on others. Without a college education I would be stopping myself from achieving my goals.
I was raised in a military household; both of my parents were in the U.S. Navy. Growing up I was taught proper discipline, a sense of order, and a firm belief in right and wrong. These skills allowed me to be able to conduct my life with a sense of purpose and gave me the confidence to accomplish anything I set my mind to. I myself spent 5 years in the U.S. Navy and I am definitely a better person for it. The military taught me many essential life skills that I feel give me a unique perspective and advantage when it comes to accomplishing my goals. The military taught me self-discipline and instilled high standards for everything I do. I learned teamwork and leadership skills, stress management, and global awareness. The military teaches you
Generally, as children grow older, they tend to imagine which career path they will follow as adults. However, what much of today's youth fails to grasp is the importance of overcoming all seemingly unsurmountable obstacles in their education in order to reach their career aspirations. Overall, my high school career consisted of spending countless nights and endless hours working diligently toward success in highly advanced classes in which I could have never imagined myself excelling. Following many years considering which path I would take next in my education, my decision to become a diagnostic medical sonographer seemed effortless and suiting for my personality. In retrospect, I now realize that, if it hadn't been for the guidance of many wonderful, influential people I have known and prospered from as a result, I would not be the driven, analytic person I am today. All in all, I have come to realize the most influential factor in my decision to become a sonographer, as well as in my strive toward personal success, can only be owed to none other than the guidance of my wise mother.
I am from a middle-class family originally from Nigeria, I moved to Chicago to better education. I have been extremely lucky to experience diverse cultures and ways of life, and in my own way I have been able to incorporate that in my daily life. My family also made it clear that education would be my ticket to survival later in life. I have seen education not only as a means to survival but as medium, to change the world. Learning about different things, and giving an open mind to others is an essential required for everyone. All my academic, social and financial achievement can be traced to my open-minded personality. I plan to major in Architecture and minor in Theater Arts, learning about arts and design is the best feeling and experience anyone would have. The idea of using ones imagination, creativity and logistics to create something phenomenal is beyond
Education has grew so much over time, to just basic math and reading to now. Where we have all sorts of math; algebra, geometry, calculus and even more; And every other subject has gotten so much more advanced as well. Sometimes some of it can be so pointless. But even though I think some of the material may be pointless and some of it probably is, it has impacted me and still is to this day. Education is a very important because it is a step that helps prepare us for the world. Though over the years education has changed, the concept is still the same, helping and teaching us for our future. Education has helped me even though some of it may not always been easy, it has helped me to learn new things, to gain knowledge, and understanding of
“You are such a storyteller” my mom would tell me as a little girl, but little did we know storytelling would become my career path.

Kids always here the same thing when they first tell their parents what they want to be when they grow up, “you can be anything you want to be if you work hard at it.” While that usually true it’s really hard to be a professional basketball player when you’re under 6’6’’. As we get older and still have that dream of being an all star our parents start to get a little more suggestive about our career choice we start to hear “always have a backup plan.” Hinting that they know we aren't going to make it that far. Then that one day finally arrives when they tell you that one thing every kid hears at least once in your life, “why don’t you be a doctor!” Yes the dreaded doctor kids all over the country fear, the evil man with his cold tools and pointy objects. Most kids immediately throw this idea out the window some of those kids decide this might be a good idea. Being one of those kids I quickly learned it’s a lot more complicated than me as a kid realized. The career I chose was a doctor more specifically a specialist of internal medicine. What internal medicine does is figure out
For many young boys and girls, the introduction to sports is often a life changing event. For me, it has been an indelible mark of endearment that has left me captivated since my earliest memory. While I would later go on to explore other passions such as business, law, and politics, it would be the synthesis of these affections that drives my career direction and goals. In any of life’s endeavors, inspiration and guidance is derived from 3 words: Improvise. Adapt. Overcome. While these three words on their own are only verbs, when placed together they are tied to every aspect of life, sport, business, and success. The words were stressed by my father, who learned their importance himself as a Sergeant the Marine Corps. Despite the immense
My friends have always criticized my altruism, marveling at how I could just spend a Sunday at the hospital volunteering or walk three miles to end hunger. But I've never seen it as a burden because I want to live my life serving others and making a change. But, school has also shown me the wonders of science captivating me with complex molecular structures and processes the brain instantaneously does every second. The intrigue of science and the joy of helping left me at a crossroads when choosing a career path. Yet, I soon realized that the decision was clear: medicine was the perfect combination of what I loved. It was on realizing this, that a new world opened up to me. I noticed how inspiring my own doctors, family members in the medical field, and various other doctors were. Doctors selflessly devote themselves to care for others through science.
I truly have taken the road less traveled and have already felt the hardships of life at the age of nineteen. However, I am still optimistic that even through the darkest times, I can still be the light for myself and fellow students. Instead of attending a college or university fresh out of high school due to financial problems, I invested two years of my time to become a licensed cosmetologist. With my license, I can pay my way through school with no worry. However, my time isn't only dedicated to my clients. I wish to bring my talents in hair, skin, and nails to my fellow students on campus. Understandably, as college students, we do not have the money to be spending it on ourselves. With my skill, I can give students a fresh new look that
The career that I have literally chosen is the automotive service technician and mechanics career. The reason why I chose this career it’s because… Well actually I have plenty and many reasons to choose from because I am very passionate about this career and I have lived through it my entire life. One reason is that Auto Mechanics is because to me it’s an interesting field to me. I decided to explore the topic a little more to get a better understanding of what it would take to become a successful automotive technician . I have lived through the auto mechanics field pretty much all through my life. Well
