Describe the main components of contemporary business. Contemporary business and its environment describes the concept of a system. It examines the business enterprise as an adaptive and open system. Contemporary businesses consider the internal and external environments. Listed below are some components of a contemporary business.
1. Value Creation - Discovering what people need or want, then creating it. It should be affordable and meet the consumer’s needs.
2. Marketing – You need to be able to attention and be able to build the demand for what you have created.
3. Sales – Have a sales plan to add new customers and be able to turn your creation into making a profit.
4. Value Delivery - Giving your customers what you’ve promised by delivering what you said you would and with great quality to ensure customer satisfaction.
5. Finance – You should have enough capital to get your business up and ruing and be able to maintain for at least one year. It doesn’t matter if you’re running a solo venture or a billion-dollar brand. Eliminate any one of these five factors away, and you don’t have a business — you have something else. (Kaufman, 2012).
