Striving as a successful Honor Student in high school has been inspiring over the years, but soon will lead to more onerous aspects centering my career goal as a Registered Nurse. Becoming a Registered Nurse will be a wonderful experience because I will gain many responsibilities and manage long hours of work. However, growing up around upcoming nurses I know at first hand there is much studying and stress involved in this journey. But despite that circumstance as long as I stay focused and overcome the challenges my future career will be successful. For it to happen I have to keep in mind three things: achieve my aspirations, distinguish excellence, and accomplishing the vision of finishing medical school. To begin with, the main aspect to reaching my career goal consists of my aspirations toward helping people. As a young child, I always had big dreams of helping those who were in need of help. This will only happen if I aspire to improve myself, my people skills, stay positive, and motivated. I have to adapt to new challenges and learn new skills to continue to grow hope for people. Setting my target to accomplish my aspirations as an accommodating nurse is …show more content…

I am pleased to state that I have been a registered nurse for forty years. At this moment, I continue working in nursing while pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. My intended month of completion is October 2012. My experience in nursing education has motivated me to continue my education and pursue a Masters degree in a nursing related field commencing in 2013. Thus, in terms of my career planning, my education is a crucial part to my professional development. Extending and deepening one's education, especially within the career field of one's choice, can only bring upon additional professional opportunities as well as opportunities for personal growth. My career planning includes building upon my decades of experience in obstetrics, my particular area of specialty, expertise, and passion, with the assistance and addition of higher education. I believe in terms of career planning, my strengths include foresight, preparation, internal motivation, and focus.
After going through a lot of trial and error in my career, I have decided that I want to pursue being a Registered Nurse. Many things have led me to this career choice, including personal and financial gain. I have tried many other occupations and educational programs and none of them have fulfilled me like I believe nursing will. It has taken me a long time to get to this point and I often joke that I finally know what I want to be when I grow up. I will tell you about my journey and what I hope to gain in my future.

For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to work in the medical field. As a nursing a student, my ultimatum is not to make the most money as possible, it is to obtain the most knowledge as possible. Indeed, nursing school introduced me to a new side of learning and studying, and at often time were quite difficult. Reflectively thinking, it opened a new way of thinking for me. At this point, I have successfully passed my first semester of nursing school, and have accepted the gratitude that I am capable of anything I put my mind to. In other words, my long terms became my short terms. Beginning of nursing school, I limited my goals to successfully passing my classes and becoming a Registered Nurse as my ultimate goal. Now, my short-term goal includes joining the United States Air Force as a 2nd lieutenant, titled Registered Nurse. While my short-term goals may seem intriguing, I feel as if I should utilize my opportunities and advantages even more. Being said that, as a 2nd lieutenant or any progressing rank, I plan to future my education and purse to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.

My ambition is to graduate St. Francis College as a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s degree in the upcoming years. Although majoring in nursing will not be easy, I feel I am prepared for the challenge. At this time in my life I cannot see myself majoring in anything else. As a young girl, with a mother working in the medical field, I was always fascinated going to work with her. Working in a doctor’s office these past two and a half years myself has given me much experience with patients and has made it more to clear to me that this is what I want to pursue as a career. I wish to be a nurse because I seem to get a feeling of warmth and internal satisfaction when helping those in need. I have begun to learn that medicine is not the only cure for people’s ailments. It is the care they receive by those around them whether it is in a hospital, nursing home, or even their own home. This is where I believe that I can make a great difference in people 's lives by helping them recover.
In conclusion, nursing is my passion and my main goal is to become not only a nurse but a doctor, so I can not only save lives but keep people healthy and happy. I have many duties and responsibilities as a nurse, but the pay is pretty though. My focus right now is to continue working on getting my licenses and certifications then working my way up to the top. I can’t wait to become a registered nurse, so I can also believe that I can do anything I set my heart and my mind to, I can accomplish and succeed in
My main goal in school, is to pass all my classes with flying colors, and maintain a high GPA. I plan to get into the nursing program and achieve my dream of graduating from college. For me to accomplish this, I would have to have the necessary reading, writing, and speaking skills it takes to complete the task at hand. I’ve set out a plan for maintaining a high GPA and achieving my dream of graduating. I intend to set a goal for my grades in each class, plan homework/study times for each course, communicate with my professors, and visit the career services center to receive more knowledge about my career choice. In order for me to be successful and achieve greater things, I will have to be responsible for completing all assigned work, attending class, and making certain my grades are good. The field of nursing is both a science and an art. New nurses graduate with, at least, acceptable basic competence. They are expected to have the ability to effectively communicate and make decisions in a complex environment with multiple demands on their practical comprehension. However, they usually lack the experience to apply this learned theory. This limited knowledge results in anxiety and difficulty in transitioning from the role of student to leader. How these students can best learn these skills is a topic that has come under considerable debate. We know that most become overwhelmed with multiple tasks and not able to prioritize with critical thinking in a fast pace acute hospital. This begs the
I am striving to achieve professionalism and growth in roles and values while going through the bachelor’s degree in nursing program. I plan on taking each class one at a time, try to do my best, and gain the knowledge needed to grow in the nursing profession. A bachelor’s degree in nursing will provide the opportunity to further my education to a master’s degree level.
