The brain is considered the most complex organ in the body. It is responsible for controlling motor function, the body’s ability to balance and the ability to translate information sent to the brain by sensory organs. The mind is described as the faculty of consciousness and thought. It’s where our feeling and emotions originate from and defines who we are as a person. The brain is composed of the visual cortex, which is responsible for processing visual information. In blind individuals the feature that makes up visions still exists in the visual cortex. These features are now used to process information received from the other senses. However, blind individuals are able to view the images because what’s in their mind.

* Example: My friend had but his girlfriend’s name on him and every time he would go out he would cheat on her and say it was his sister’s name. So it would be argument between the two of them.
The quote from Dr. Parker I have chosen to write my essay on is one that I hold very close to my heart, “Do you realize that as a Christian you have some talent to use for the Lord?” For a long time I had the same thoughts regarding that sentiment as many people do. I had been jaded and saw that as nothing more than an overused, deceptive, superficial phrase friends or family members would use to pacify those of us struggling to find our place in the world. Even though I had achieved many things I always saw myself as less than average. I had an academic scholarship but I wasn’t valedictorian. I wasn’t obese but I didn’t look like the models plastered all over magazines. I obtained my Bachelor’s of science in nursing but I wasn’t the super hero always able to save the day like depicted on television.
I know that a lot of people like to think that this is a buzz word. My motto is much longer but I will use those words. I believe that the purpose of college and life is to answer the following question:
6) The proposed privatization is nothing more than the Governor “attempting to demonstrate that management controls the union and to force out older experienced workers”.
My hand was moving fast across the page checking things about myself that I didn't even need to think about. Personally I stop checking boxes and my left hand started to absentmindedly fingle with the freshly sharpened pencil in my hand. A question that came naturally to most people What is a critical thinking question in my eyes.
1) Which of the four basic strategy types were used by GM? Explain your rationale.
reacting of bias learned, stress, stereo types, over reacting, thinking the same way all the time. Why this type of training is important is the fact there has been already 990 people killed by police officers in the United States in 2016 according to website. These numbers are subjective because some of the people had weapons, killed while training with cops. One story is about one cop killed from another cop during a safety training course. In this same year there have been 136 deaths in the policing community according to website. These numbers are also subjective because there are 17 different categories named. Examples are some are from illness suffered they got while working in dangerous environment, car accidents, K-9 are also included in this number.
skill in education has a controversial issue whether it should be taught as a separate subject or
When living your daily life and in the global world, it is vital to balance your own personal morality with other’s ideals and an understanding of the variables in the world that influence the greater interaction. While it is easy to say that critical thinking is something that everyone should use when they approach new situations and information, it is not an easy skill for many people to practice. Everyone wants to believe that they are right, that desire seems as though it is part of human nature. Our world today can magnify this desire through the constant interconnectedness, confirmation bias bubbles, and fake news. To combat this trend of egocentrism and be open to new ideas, when encountering something new that might contradict or change the morals and worldview that I have, I try to think critically about it and approach it with an open mind.
Critical thinking is considered as a higher level of reflective thinking that involves us becoming more aware of why we perceive things, the way we feel, act and do” (Phan, 2009). As the demand increases for students to demonstrate course material through hands on application, it is imperative for students to acquire clinical competency and effective critical thinking and decision-making skills. Through the use of HPS, students are offered a sequence and set of instructional practices that create conditions for practice in a mock work world. For example, experiential learning opportunities such as the High Fidelity Simulation (HFS) enhanced lab activity, and increased the student’s ability to synthesize critical content (Alfred & Fountain, 2009). These integrated lab activities provide a learning environment where students do self-exploration and share ideas and viewpoints with peers in small groups. Students receive feedback through debriefing about their practice and the experience offers multiple opportunities for corrective practice and critical reflection (Elfrink, et al., 2010).
My original thoughts on Critical Thinking were that it requires learned skill and self-reflection. I felt that it is impossible to think critically while ignoring the flaws in your thought processes. Logic is imperative to investigate the motive behind any critical response. I theorized being vested in the outcome can often prejudice an opinion which skews the result. Most often, putting our own experiences in what we learn is acceptable, even encouraged, after we have applied a critical eye to the issue. As students, we will need to remember to think logically, to research and make an in depth study of each article, fact, theory, or question.
Critical thinking skills are essential to the adult learner. Since this is a writing based program, adopting a creative mindset helps facilitate critical thinking skills. Attending an online program requires the student to research the weekly assignment individually. Without the typical classroom environment, each student must determine what the writing assignment requirements are and how to relay the information in an informative essay. Critical thinking skills and effective writing are essential to succeed in higher education (Varelas, A., Wolfe, K. S., & Lalongo, E., 2015).
Since the first day of the course, I have learned a lot about creativity and critical thinking. It has opened my eyes to brand new ways of how to express my creativity more efficiently; By thinking through problems and coming up with the best solutions possible; About different methods of critical thinking and how to be as successful as a student. In this reflection, I am going to express what I have learned in more detail. Starting with how I learned how to solve problems, the strategy I used successfully completed this course with what I learned, how this Course helped make connections to ‘real world’ and other courses in CWI, and lastly, how I put all that I learned into the ‘Final In-Class Project-The Wallet Project.’
