To accomplish our missions, we need mentally and physically fit Warriors. For this reason, at this stage, I’m selecting “Medical Readiness” as my top priority when we address the Battalion’s Readiness Force Indicators. It means that we have to take care of each other by placing our effort in those personnel actions that bring wounded and sick Warriors back to our ranks, or if not possible, will result on receiving their earned benefits as soon as possible. We will protect our Warriors…so suicide, fratricide and accidents prevention will be enforced at all times in this
According to the vignette, I feel most comfortable choosing Bowenian family therapy as the pioneer approach and narrative family therapy as the postmodern approach for this family. Of course, that decision would be according to the family needs and if they were unreceptive, I would modify my approach. For the purposes of this paper, the approaches mentioned above are the two that might be most appropriate to proceed through assessment and treatment.
Family therapy is a form of psychotherapy employed to assist members of a family in improving communication systems, conflict resolution, and to help the family to deal with certain problems that manifest in the behavior of members. In most cases, deviance in a family member is an indication of underlying family dysfunctions. It answers certain questions including those of the expected challenges during therapy and ways of dealing with the challenges.

The role of the strategic family therapist provides solutions to the client’s issues. As a strategic family therapist it important that the therapist focuses on the core issues within the family. The therapists will start interventions based on the needs of the family. The main concerns of the strategic therapist are the functionality of the family. The basic role of the therapist is problem solving in therapeutic sessions. This will enable the therapist to motivate family members to work towards

The soldier’s creed is a motto that every soldier who enters the US Army. Within it is held a set of standards and values that the Army holds itself by. The Warrior Ethos is one of the most important stanzas within the Soldier’s Creed. Within the warrior ethos resonates four important messages. Mission first, never quit, never accept defeat, and never leave a fallen comrade. However this stanza emphasizes the army values of Leadership, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage. We must set a vision and define a clear path for the squadron to work towards. This in turns defined the tempo and mission, leveraging subordinate’s positions to allow the work of the mission to be accelerated. I agreed with the philosophical approach that DeMarco examined, “ instilling faith in the unit’s members that your philosophy is indeed genuine—instilling a sense that as the commander, as the leader…I am indeed FOR you all as an organization.”2 He has summarized my philosophical approach perfectly. As a leader, we must trust our subordinates and their ability to accomplish the mission, in accordance with your vision and goals. The commander is contributing to the greater good of the organization, not in the position of authority for their own personal power and selfish gains2.

In today’s world people use many words to describe different situations; some words are lovely, and some are horrifying. The thing about this world’s vocabulary, is that we choose which words best describe each situation and we are fully aware of the definitions behind them. In the Community people use their words with great precision, making sure not to confuse anyone or cause any feelings that might be bad. All citizens of the Community use the words that they are told to use without realizing that sometimes there are deep dark secrets behind what they are saying. Assignment, Elsewhere, and Family Unit are everyday words to the Community, but what they do not understand is the restriction behind them.
Hi Sally, I’m glad to be in class with you again. I hope you had a good few weeks off. I have never experienced family therapy but it is one area I do have a limited interest in. Because of my family life growing up I want to help children that are caught in the middle of divorce and stepfamilies. There are times the kids fall through the cracks as the parents move on with their new lives. Nichols (2014) refers to interpersonal context that the closeness between family members can cause a person’s behavior to influence their interaction with in the family (58).
My performance goals and expectations are to maximize the medical readiness for the 230th Engineer Battalion, so the battalion is medically available to mobilize during operation contingencies and humanitarian missions. These goals are reached by ensuring all Soldiers receive an annual physical health assessment (PHA). Soldiers with medical or dental issues are identified at the PHA and then screened and tracked by the Medical Readiness NCO.
Society’s expectation of military officers are demanding, and I intend to meet and exceed those expectations. The most important
