Romeo and Juliet is an interesting play, it’s about two teenagers who are in love but can’t be together because one is a Capulet and the other is a Montague and their families do not like each other, Even though both Romeo and Juliet kill themselves, Friar Laurence is the one responsible for Juliet’s death. One reason why Friar Laurence is responsible for Juliet’s death is because he is the one who gave Juliet the sleeping potion. For example, when he gave her the potion, everyone including Romeo believed that she was dead, and when Romeo found out that she was “dead” he killed himself. Which later lead Juliet to kill herself, if Friar Laurence would of never gave Juliet the Potion then neither of them would be dead, there really isn’t any
Romeo and Juliet started off liking each other and then they both got married and then Romeo has been banned from Verona. This all happened because of Tybalt had killed Mercutio, so Romeo had chased Tybalt and challenged him to a fight and Romeo had killed Tybalt. After that Juliet’s father had said that the marriage of Paris and Juliet is tomorrow. So then Friar Lawrence had to come up with a plan to get Juliet with Romeo. So the plan was to fake Juliet’s death and Romeo take her and go but that didn’t happen. Romeo’s servant Balthasar thought Juliet was actually dead, but she wasn’t but he still reported it to Romeo. Then Romeo got poison and saw Juliet and then drank the poison. Once Juliet woke up, she saw Paris lying there and then saw Romeo dead. So then she took Romeo’s dagger and stabbed herself. So the blame of Romeo and Juliet’s death should be on Friar Lawrence, Nurse, and The feud between the Capulets and Montagues.
Friar Lawrence was most responsible for Juliet’s death in Shakespeare's “Romeo and Juliet.” Friar Lawrence was the mastermind behind the plan to get Romeo and Juliet back together which resulted in Juliet dying. The night before her wedding, Juliet was instructed to drink a sleeping potion that will make her seem dead. Then, she will be prepared for a burial where Romeo will come rescue her after receiving a letter from Friar Lawrence about the plan and they can go to Mantua together. Friar Laurence could be considered the person to blame for Romeo and Juliet’s death because he was the one that marries to two lovers without their parent’s consent. Although he did marry Romeo and Juliet in secret, it all circles back to the feud. The leading reason for his decision to marry them, was because he was hoping that it would end the feud, knowing that if he had Romeo and Juliet get their parent’s consent, they would not be allowed to marry each other. He is guided by the rivalry, which allowed him to make his decision to marry them. Friar Laurence did make a dangerous decision in marrying Romeo and Juliet, but the feud is truly to blame, for without it, Romeo and Juliet would not have had to been married secretly. Also, Friar Laurence came up with the plan that was dangerous, yet none of it would have been needed if the families were not feuding. Nevertheless, it could be a possibility that Friar Laurence is to blame for the death of the two lovers because of his dangerous decisions, but it is clear that the feud is the true cause for their deaths, as the feud is the reason that everything needed to be kept a
