Romeo and Juliet is a fictional love story written by William Shakespeare in 1597. The book is about two star crossed lovers who fall in love, but in the end they are both met with death along with many of the other characters in the story. Many people have different views on who Is responsible for the death of Romeo and Juliet. The story has many controversial scenes and the characters can be portrayed differently depending on how you look at them. In this essay I will be explaining who is responsible for the death of Romeo and Juliet. I will be choosing three characters out of the book and will be going into their perspective on whose fault it was. The first person who i personally think is responsible for their death is friar John. In the story Friar John job is to get the message to Romeo that Juliet is not dead, but has only taken a sleeping potion to get out of the marriage her father set up for her. Friar John is held up because many people in his town believed he had the bubonic plague which held him up. As he is help up Romeo does not get the message that was intended for him and believes that Juliet is actually dead. Which ultimately leads to both of their deaths. Friar John could have easily avoided getting help up for too long if he had easily snuck out of his house and deliver the message to Romeo. This is why I believe that Friar John has a big part in Romeo and Juliet’s deaths. Many people reading may counter this belief that it was Friars John's fault by
