(TS) In “The Most Dangerous Game” by Richard Connell, the main antagonist named Zarkoff practices something so evil, that when a man from mainstream society witnesses it, he views it as sinister. This short story follows an experienced hunter named Rainsford who becomes stranded on a deserted island where he becomes hunted by a character named Zaroff. However, by remaining calm in this bizarre and dangerous circumstance, Rainsford outwits the experienced Zaroff using traps and eventually kills him. However, what caused Zaroff to commit something so unimaginably sinister, that even a stolid hunter like Rainsford gapes at its insidiousness.
