One of the successful company that set it foothold in the United States is the Home Depot. It is a company that sells hardware and many home improvement materials. Their company core value is to take care of people and giving back to their communities. As the company began to grow, they had been helping out and supporting their community in various different ways including donation, support the people who suffer from the natural disaster, build homes for people, and encourage people to recycle their stuffs and many other things. Natural resources are being depleted and the purity of the air we breathe and the water we drink is being compromised – a result of creativity and progress in an effort to improve our lives. Throughout the past several years, the government has offered tax credits to promote implementation of products aimed at reducing environmental impacts.

In managing the business aspects of this position it would not be difficult to have Goodwill’s mission in mind and demonstrate the values of the organization. In this position I would most likely be working with staff more than the public served by the organization, however I know my interactions with other staff would trickle down to the public. The goal was to encourage companies to launch their own green initiatives.
