Government: The Three Branches Of Our Government

The United states government used to be a very strong government and some people may say it still is a very strong government but it does have its problems and its flaws. But what’s good about our government is that we have a ton of people and parts in our government and there isn’t just one person who makes and decides all of the laws there is a number of people who debate and argue until they eventually come to an equal fair agreement on what is going to happen or what’s right and what’s wrong. I believe that the author started the book by explaining that most people were not ready to call themselves Americans in order to show the audience how people living in former British colonies considered their home colonies as its own country or nation and did not want to be connected to the others in any way. I could use this point as a way to activate background knowledge when first reading this book with my students to understand their meaning of the U.S. Constitution.

In past years the government have done many things to put us where we are like in debt, war, and a low natural element supply. Our government contributes an enormous amount of money to our nation, with government assistance, land and exported products which cause us to go into debt crisis over eighteen billion dollars

According to the U.S. Constitution the federal government is divided into three branch of government known as the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial branch. Separation of powers given to each of these branches of government are distinct yet separate jurisdiction which the other branches do not control. In Article I the Legislative branch is given the power to make laws. The power granted to the Executive branch in Article II is to execute the laws which the Legislative branch creates. The Judicial Branch responsibility is to interoperate the laws bestowed to them in Article III.

There are three branches on our national (federal) government: the legislative, executive and the judicial. The Constitution made up a system of checks and balances to secure that one branch didn’t become more powerful than the other. Every branch has ways to check other branches’ power and systems. The legislative branch has powers to create laws, these powers checks over the executive branch. In order to check the other branches it may over power presidential vetoes and has the power to provide funds of any executive actions. Also the senate can approve treaties and presidential appointments. These powers have the right to remove a president by impeaching them from office. When the United States first became a country, they did not have a president. All they had were the Articles of Confederation that established a “friendship” between the states. Those articles did not last very long before plans and compromises were made by people who thought they could fix the nation’s government. James Madison offered a new plan of government called the Virginia Plan that called for three separate branches: legislative, executive, and judicial. Even though this plan was not used for the government of the United States, the three branches were a key point in the nation’s new government.

The judicial branch is able to interpret the Constitution and all laws that are in the process of being passed. The judicial branch has the power to punish people who disobeyed the constitution. Congress is made up of the House of Representatives and the Senate. Their duty is to write up and votes on laws, also called legislation.

Separation of power is important for our democracy because it prevents unlimited power to one person or group. Instead, the Constitution creates three branches of government: legislative, executive, and judicial. Each branch is given different powers and can “check and balance” the other to prevent any one branch from becoming powerful enough to destroy the entire system. The legislative branch (Congress) is said to be the first branch of government and Article I establishes that the Congress will be composed of two chambers: a House of Representatives and the Senate (Levin-Waldman, 2012). The second of three branches of the U.S. Constitution is the executive branch. The main job the the executive branch is to enforce laws. The leader of the executive branch is the President and currently in that position is Donald Trump. Next in line is the title in second command the vice president and present is Mike Pence. The president has the power to veto a bill or sign it into law. The House of Representatives can accuse a president high crimes and misdemeanors. The House needs a majority to impeach the official then the Senate needs ⅔  votes to convict them. The three requirements to be a president is at least 35 years old, natural born citizen, and live state side for 14 years. A president makes 400,000 dollars, and receives a pension

There are three branches in the American Government system and they are the Executive Branch, Legislative Branch, and Judicial Branch. These three branches were developed by our founding fathers to help and develop our country to what it is today.

To start out the process the bill must first be introduced. Legislation can be introduced by any member of Congress. From there it is referred to a committee and sometimes first a subcommittee. From there the bill will go through committee actions including hearings, which usually takes place at the subcommittee level, and mark ups which is when amendments are proposed for the original bill. To get to the next step the bill must be voted favorably out of the Committee by the chairman of the Committee.

The three branches of the United States government are executive, legislative, and judicial. The executive branch is made up of the President, Vice President, and many other workers, are primarily tasked with enforcing laws. The legislative branch, made up of two bodies, the House and the Senate, who are all responsible for making laws. Lastly, the judicial branch is comprised of the Supreme Court and its job is to decide if laws are constitutional.

The Federal System in our government are divided into three branches: the judicial, executive, and legislative. Our judicial system is the system of the courts that interprets and applies the law in the same state. Our executive is the organ that exercises authority in the hold responsibility for he governance of a state. The legislative which makes the country’s laws, is divided into the senate and the house of representatives. These three branches are meant to keep each other in check to make sure no single branch asserts too much power. I feel they federal system was a good idea to put into action to make sure no one would gain too much power and would be able to work together.
