“So kids, every Halloween, it is said that her ghost, roams the empty hallways of this very school, searching for another female student to take her place.” The students were now on the edge of their wooden seats, eyes wide, listening to every word Mr. Morris said. All of a sudden the loud bell breaks the silence, making each one of them jump. “I guess I will have to tell you all the rest of the story on Monday. Have a good Halloween kids. Don’t forget about the dance tonight.” After most of the students left, only two remained They walked up to Mr. Morris’s desk, eager to know more about the ghost story. “Did it really happen?” The girl named Claire asked. “I don’t believe it did.” The boy named Logan exclaimed, emphasizing the word “I”. “Well kids,” Mr. Morris sighed, “I don’t want to encourage anything but you may just have to find out.” he said with a mysterious look on his unshaven face. Later that evening Outside the Max Morris gymnasium, the frigid wind blew through the trees making the leaves rustle and some fall to the ground. The full moon made dancing shadows on the pavement. Logan and Claire made their way through the glass doors and into the warm gym. Inside, there was a variety of different costumes. Such as mummies, vampires, ghosts, and cats, just to name a few. The floor of the gym was covered in a thin layer of artificial smoke that was billowing out of the smoke machines. There was music blasting and strobe lights flashing making the gym seem even

At East Pennsboro Middle School all the students were gathered in the gym “Happy Halloween” Mr. Sim yelled. We called you all down here to tell you a scary story that happened here 100 years ago on Halloween night. But then all the light flickered and turned off. Thunder shook the ground, then lightning cracked. Everyone screamed. The teachers were yelling to stop and stay calm. Then the doors slammed shut, no one could open them. They were locked in. then Mr. sim yelled do you want to hear the story or not. So, of course, they all got quiet. Once they were silent Mr. Sim started with the story.
It was all going well before Alexis and Alice left. Their mom told them they could go by themselves since they both had phones. They were going as a devil and angel. They were so excited to finally go trick or treating by themselves. The clock struck 6 p.m. and they left for trick-or-treating.
“ I think it's cause of last night , she's terrified of clowns , I'm sure coming with us didn't make things better.” Colleen hugged her books looking down. “ Something isn't right here , I'm telling Y'all we shouldn't have went there , we disturbed something and now it's after us all.” They all stood looking at each other quiet as the bell rings startling all three of them. They entered there classes , each thinking of last nights events , wondering if they did awake something .
Over 90 million pounds of candy are sold on October 31st. Children go door to door dressed in strange costumes ringing doorbells and asking for candy. There is no other day of the year that is acceptable to collect candy from neighbors while dressed as someone or something else. Halloween is a mysterious holiday that is celebrated by many countries and many cultures in different and unique ways. Countless people do not realize how strange Halloween really is and why it is truly celebrated.
One october night, Micah and I were sitting in my room, talking about our plans for the following holidays. Micah suggested movies, a haunted house, and our church’s Halloween Party to supervise the kids, and I agreed.
A cool breeze rolling, howls from every direction, clowns limping down sidewalks, kids waiting to trick or treat. Sarah and James and their three children are getting ready for Halloween. Ashley, age 15, Zach, age 12, and Dee, age 7. Ashley is going out with her friends, Zach is as a vampire for Halloween, and Dee as a bee. All three children are all set and ready to go, but it’s still an hour until everyone starts to go,”said Sarah.” As we’re all waiting and Dee is looking out the window and says,” but there’s already people going mom.” Sarah said no, let me look. Sarah walked over to the window and saw that someone was, it was a clown. This clown isn't the only clown though, as she’s looking there are around five clowns just wondering around their neighborhood.
For the past three hundred years I have been sitting in the same spot all day long. I was buit in the worst neighborhood. It isn’t as bad as bad as around Halloween night. Every single person who comes in my neighborhood on Halloween night, is dared to come inside. All the children have made stories saying I am haunted but believe me I am not. It wasn’t always like this. I used to be the best house in the neighborhood. I was filled with antiques. Furniture imported from Paris. I had parties lined up. Then the years past a storm hit and I was only a house no longer a home. Little did I know that it was all about to change. One day around October 30, the day before Halloween, a very nice young lady ,named Samantha , was dared to come inside.
It is October 4th, 2017 and it is getting very close to Halloween. There is this haunted house on mine and my friends street that no one has lived in for years. I walk by the house with my brother everyday after school. My brother and I have been talking about going into the haunted house the day of halloween. My best friend Addison asked me the next day “Hey you want to go into that haunted house on halloween?” “Ohhhhhh no me and my brother already had plans that we were going to go in there by ourselves.” I was thinking.
“RRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIINGGGGGGG” to sound so I could go explore with my friends. On the Friday of the school year and my mind was full of the amazing things I would when I was finally free from my prison. I was staring outside when the words “story time “ shattered my day dream. I had heard all about Ms. Robinson's amazing stories from my older sister, and now I would finally hear one for myself. She told about the way teenage kids would come to her street on Halloween and roll huge pumpkins down her even bigger hill, straight into an intersection. Not only could I not stop paying attention to Ms. Robinson's story at that moment, but for the rest of the school year I looked forward to every day of school, in hope of another gripping story.
“Hey” I yelled running up to my friends. “Oh hello” my friends all said in unison. My friends consisted of mary, riley, and samantha we had all been friends for a while now and got along pretty well. “ So are you guys ready to go to the haunted house yet?” “No but I probably never will be so I guess I am” riley said a little too loudly. “Okay then let's go” mary said with enthusiasm. So we went off walking towards the haunted house. We blended in pretty well with all the children trick-or-treating because we had all dressed up even though none of us were trick-or-treating. I was wearing a costume that made me look like a demon. Sam was a ballerina, mary was a unicorn, riley was an elf but the type from lord of the rings.
It was a dark and scary, 11 o’clock, Halloween night when three girls who lived in spookyville went trick-or-treating late at night. Their names were Bobby Jo, Sophia, and Lucy. They went to the market and bought some drinks for the night. When they were up and paying the cashier she said “oh, so y’all going to trick or treating tonight. Well then I must warn you those houses on the outskirts of town are full of spirits, y’all know ghosts and stuff.” She started doing some kind of scary dance with her hands. “I wouldn’t go yonder if they even pay me many pennies. So y’all better be careful so y’all don’t get hurt.” The girls grabbed their bags and started heading out of the market when the cashier yelled towards them, “The woods are what lead you there.”
“It's getting closer, we need to create our game plan,” Says Aria. I couldn't be happier that Halloween is finally rolling around. I've gone trick-or-treating with Aria ever since seventh grade. “So, I've been thinking. Maybe we change it up a bit. How about we go to, wait for it, a haunted house!”
To begin this story I will tell you what my mom thinks of Halloween. Don’t get me wrong I love and respect my mom but that doesn’t mean I agree with her all the time. My mom along with other people believe that on Halloween spirits come out to celebrate the existence of their dark lord Satan, and by dressing up we are showing the dark spirits that we support what they are doing. That is what my mom thinks along with many other reasons. My mom is the type of mom when she says something it’s final unless you have a really good reason to contradict her. To put it short my mom is a Mexican mom. Anyway going back to the story. October thirty-first, 2017.
“It’s the Haunted Mansion, Dave,” the boy named Jeremy whispered nervously. A few houses from where they stood was the house that many people called “The Haunted Mansion”. They knew that it wasn’t really haunted, but it was hard to tell when you looked at it. The old fashioned brick house seemed ready to topple over at any moment. The large yard was overrun with weeds. The windows and doors were boarded over and the beat up front door was half hidden by weeds.
