The current generation is extremely fortuitous to have so many advancements in life, as technology for example. Yet, although advancements with all the technology is seen as a positive impact, it in fact is a major flaw on the society's education. The current generation often disregards what is happening to the education system and feels there is no effect on them as a community. The education system is slowly deteriorating in the way that it is no longer preparing students for the world of work, nor creating critical thinkers with decent moral values, and as well as not teaching students to be life long-thinkers and successful citizens (Venturini). In this way, the education system is creating a generation of obliviousness.

"Education is life--not a mere preparation for an unknown kind of future living…The whole of life is learning; therefore, education can have no ending. This new venture is called adult education--not because it is confined to adults but because adulthood, maturity defines its limits." (Lindeman, E.1926p.6)

Wouldn’t it be a dull place if there weren’t differences in the world around us? Education is one of those areas where new perspectives can be obtained. Sometimes the focus is only on one area and no there is not a wide variety of information, just a select few viewpoints. Having a single viewpoint doesn’t leave too much to learn. LLV teaches how variety; whether from good open discussions, books, film, or articles can open new doors. It can also teach that new diverse opionions are the window to life and stepping stones to education. Books, film, articles, and even an array of personalities aid in the learning process. The Millennial generation of college kids have quite a few identifiable necessities when it comes to learning. With these needs, comes new focuses in the education industry. Hutchins insist that the education he outlines is the kind that everyone should have and answer to. He continues to discuss some who teach do not know how to teach in the present (Hutchins, 1995). Personally, I believe learning should can happen in different forms, this includes reading books and articles. As educators we should always aim to develop different methods to communicate and educate our students. The economic condition requires us to produce some kind of education for the youth, and for all the young, up to about their twentieth year (Hutchins, 1995). With current budget cut to education and the decrease in student enrollment, college administrators have to find ways to engage and connect with student inside and outside of the classroom. The impending problem in education is producing well balanced students - mentally,spiritually, emotionally, physically and financially. The curriculum today deals more with academic studies and information than it does with being able to attain the success most aspire for. True success, as has been determined, is a direct result of one’s character. This opinion is supported by Diane Ravitch 's “On How to Improve Our Schools”, as she offers hope for preparing students for a “useful life” and having good character, and making “sound decisions about their life” in the future. One of the most pressing problems with our education system is this narrow focus of the curriculum.

Randolph’s life experience reveals how individual values and actions shaped the past, and how the past shapes present-day values and actions. I proposed the question, do you have any plans for further education? Randolph response was, “I am enrolled at Kennesaw State University pursuing a master’s in Ethics and Leadership.” "I view learning as a lifelong process, I want to continue to learn as much as I can to be an effective educator. She chose to attain an Ethics and Leadership degree because of the obstacles she encountered as teacher. Before I decided to continue my education, I felt afraid, alone, and discouraged in taking the first step back into education. For children, those fears eventually pass, but for adult learners, they continue, even after the degree is earned.

Since the days of Henry Giroux, the belief of connecting student –centered lessons to a student’s personal interests and beliefs lends to life-long learning. When a lesson if student – centered, its provided authenticity for the student. 21st century education is a precipitously revolutionizing concept, both instructors and pupils are adjusting and finding new innovative methods to teach and learn correspondingly. An educator’s pedagogy has a prerequisite to develop to encompass new technology and the latest techniques of educational activity, positioning the attention on the learner, creating student focused teaching and providing scholars with the tools essential to manufacture their own cognition. Training needs to embrace diversity to pull around the ever transforming topography of our culture. Scholars have to feel safe, secure and equal to each other and to feel in control of their pedagogy.

As people debate whether or not the media is taking us over as human beings, there can be some good that comes from the wide selection of technology that mostly everyone has at the end of their fingertips. Anyone can feel free to go onto the internet and state what they feel, and state what needs to be changed in society today. One huge debate going on around the world wide web is whether or not students are being taught the lessons necessary to succeed in everyday life. Not specifically talking about life after college, or just when they leave school at 3 o’clock every weekday afternoon. There needs to be a change in the education system; there needs to be more life lessons in the classroom in order to create a better future for the student.

The importance of making the student a person living in the world today as being integral and not as a social machine, thanks to P. Freire, AS Neill and H. Giroux, who possess classroom experience realise all that live in them.
