To understand Henry “Box” Brown, it is important to understand the importance of slavery and its impact on them and their families. Helping young students understand oppression and discrimination of African Americans is particularly challenging, but without addressing this, the students’ worldview of other people cultures and values may be limited. If teachers disregard specific information in there lesson, the learning experience wouldn’t be as sensation-rich and memorable for the students. Thus, for example, engaging the students with bodily-kinesthetic, visual-spatial, and musical hooks throughout the year allows the learner to be “fully involved” in the learning process and outcome. At the same time, it helps the teachers to fully understand
‘A Talk to Teachers’ by James Baldwin published on December 21, 1963 is a very brave and direct message to teachers on how they are contributing to the prejudice in society during that time period. Baldwin’s tone in this essay shifts frequently however, the constant tone that enhances his purpose of this essay is urgency. Baldwin’s urgency to make teachers change the prejudice view on “negros” and the false history that is being taught about African Americans. For he refers to it as “any negro who is born in this country and undergoes the American educational system runs the risk of being schizophrenic.”

Why would I want to have a thirty-minute conversation with the now deceased Syracuse Alum and NFL player Jim Brown? Jim Brown is a strong African American male who had lived through different stages of life, someone who acquired great knowledge growing up. Brown was and still is now a hero, someone most athletes look up to, someone who has motivated me after learning about the history of him. He dealt with racism in his lifetime, the transitions from being home with family all his life to the college life. Additionally, Brown was capable of staying on top of his academics, while participating in athletics. Furthermore, I feel as if in a way we are connected, both black males who looked to use football as a way to more opportunities in life,
In the book titled The Slave Community: Plantation Life in the Antebellum South, author John Blassingame’s theme, focused on the history of African slave experience throughout the American South. After much research, the author said in the preface that most historians focused more on the planter instead of the slave. He also pointed out that most of the research on slaves by previous historians was based on stereotypes, and do not tell the real history of slave life and a slave’s inner self. Most of these historians, who focused on antebellum southern history, left out the African-American slave experience on purpose. Through much gathering of research, Blassingame hoped to correct this injustice to the history of African-American slaves, and show how slavery affected slaves, but also American life, culture, and thought.

Arnold Grey was born in the slums of London. His father did any odd jobs to put food on the table, and his mother passed away at a very young age. His father would come home after a long day of work with no food to give. At the age of six his father had collected enough money to afford education for Grey. At school, Grey’s family status would cause the students to make fun of him. To ease his suffering, Grey would run. Grey did not care where he went, as long as his legs carried him away from his home, he was happy. Over time Grey would run faster and harder everyday, always attempting to run better than the day before. Sadly however, Grey’s life back at school was to much for him to bare, his consistent low grades in class along with the enmity
“Young Goodman Brown,” a short story written by Nathaniel Hawthorne, recounts the tale of a young Puritan man who is transformed by witnessing the bitter truths of humanity. In Goodman Brown’s journey into the woods, he discovers the hidden evils of the individuals that once appeared virtuous to him. Throughout the story, the forces of good and evil are contrasted. In this short story, Hawthorne uses symbolism, the discordance between a character’s appearance and his/her true nature, and contrasting colors to portray the vicious and hypocritical nature of Puritans.
At a young age, John Brown, was introduced to the brutal truth of a slaves life as he watched a boy around his age being beaten with an iron shovel. (page 4) That’s when everything changed for Brown and wanted to do something about it. John Brown was a leader in many peoples eyes. I like to think that he was more then a leader myself because of all the acts of courage, devotion, inspirational, and also able to persevere many of the problems at the time. Although he has all the great qualities of a leader its not just the details he was very honest with the work he was doing. Since he was brought up as an anti – slave owner. John Brown was very legit in his work if something didn’t seem right when he was helping with things such as the under ground railroad he would make sure that everything was one-hundred percent.

When it comes to defining talent, numerous organizations exist around the world. Moreover, people commonly refer to these organizations as talent agencies. For those unaware, talent agencies recruit and nurture talented individuals. In particular, talent agencies usually go after musicians, actors, models, and dancers. However, joining a talent agency oftentimes has its drawbacks. To expand further, numerous talent agencies exist with no intention of propelling their clients into stardom. Moreover, these agencies prey on their client's aspirations for monetary gain. However, a few talent agencies continue to deflect such stereotypes. Moreover, these talent agencies remain renowned around the world for their ability to market their talent. With that being said, the Brown Modelling Agency remains the talent agency in reference.
Inventor Joseph Henry an American Electromagnetism pioneer is the master mind behind the relay component. Henry used a small electromagnet to switch a larger one on and off. My research also revealed that he speculated that he could use these relays to control electrical machines over very long distances. Simultaneously he was working on the electric telegraph the forerunner of what we know today as the telephone.
Henry was a well known scientist during the 1700’s. He is most famous for the discovery of hydrogen, although he calculated the composition of atmospheric air, and the properties of different gases.
