Apple Incorporated is one of the world’s largest electronic products company along with one of their biggest rivals Samsung Electronics and seconds world’s largest mobile phone provider after Samsung Electronics. There are over 420 Apple retail stores in 14 different countries around the world and employ over 75,000 people. These Apple retail stores sell Apple products such as iPhones, iPad, apple macs etc. Apple also sell their products online on the Apple website. Apple 's main aims are to provide their customers with unique electronic products and to change the way people communicate and socialize using apple products. Apple Incorporated are a private limited company in the private sector of the economy and the tertiary sector. Methods used to attract and retain customers (P3) Apple use many different methods to reach out to their customers and retain them, below I will be talking about some of these methods. Unlike many electronic product companies, Apple have their own stores to sell their own Apple branded products instead of selling them at third party retailers. The Apple stores only sell Apple products, electronic and non-electronic. Apple stores not only sell their products but also give advice and help on how to use these products. Sales - Apple has a specific functional area based on sales. The sales department of a business handles how the products will be sold and helping customers find a suitable product for their needs. They organise sales promotions (or advertising), respond to customer enquiries about their products, and negotiate discounts for customers; which enhances customer satisfaction and keeping customer records up to date. E.g. Apple found that distributing their phones to sell at other shops would broaden their market and create a lot of word of mouth which would be essential to the growth of the business. The shops they distribute the phones to always try to find ways to discount their customers which always creates customer satisfaction.
To sell products to customers who have not yet experienced any apple products or never bought them and would like to help them feel the experience. To provide the products that are hassle free and will not disappoint the customer so they are put off products from apple and so they can have enjoyment in using the apple products as well. To become the leading mobile market in the world and by doing this they can develop products that will take technology to a whole new level.
