Human Resources Management Overview Human resources (HR) is the different kinds of clinical and nonclinical responsibilities for public and individual health involvement. The benefits and performance the system can deliver depends upon the knowledge, skills and motivation of those responsible for providing health services. Human resource managers don’t directly work with patients, choices they make and the actions they take will shape the quality of care a patient receives in the hospital (Ray, 2016). An effectively run human resources department offers your company the ability to meet company needs while managing your company 's most appreciated resources, the employees. Small businesses who do not have an HR department, could achieve the same level of talent by outsourcing HR functions or joining a professional employer organization (Ray, 2016).
The key responsibilities associated with human resource management include, job analysis and staffing, organization of work force, measurement and evaluation of the work force operation, carrying out reward systems for employees, professional development of workers, and maintenance of the work force (Elarabi, Johari 2014). Workplace safety is an important factor. The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSHA), states employers have a responsibility to provide a safe working environment
