In the pop realm, it alludes to ill-mannered individuals whose actions are often defined by reckless behavior. In the business world, it represents the underestimated success of self-starters. His main focus in this article was to show the internet’s reaction to Childish Gambino’s newest song and video, and how quickly everyone is dismissing Kanye West while simultaneously trying to make Childish Gambino the new Kanye. With online comments such as, “If Kanye was woke as he was a decade ago, THIS is the kind of stuff I’d imagine he’d be putting out today”, and “Get Kanye West out of here. Kanye West re-appeared on twitter two weeks ago. He shared with followers his journey to happiness, creating art and free thinking. He also announced new music is on the way from himself, Kid Cudi, Pusha T, Teyana Taylor, and Nas. Normal right? Well that excitement was short lived when the iconic rapper tweeted out a series of tweets aligning himself with President donald trump. In several tweets Kanye can be quoted saying "You don't have to agree with trump but the mob can't make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is m brother. I love everyone." Like donnie, Kanye's tweets struck a cord with everyone and caused the entire Hip-Hop community to react in disbelief.

CNN uses tweets from members from the African American community making sarcastic comments about slavery being a choice furthering their opinions on Mr. Wests comments. Kanye’s political views have remained constant throughout the majority of his career, and he is not afraid to be open about them.

Kanye West was formerly only known for his influential rap career, but in recent years, he’s also been known for his influence on fashion throughout the world with his product line, Yeezy Season, known for selling out in just minutes, making it into high-end fashion shows such as New York and Paris fashion week. If you don’t know him from his music or fashion career, then you most likely know him from his bold, spontaneous moments where he speaks his mind in the national spotlight, shocking the generation to push his “agenda” (Flournoy 1). Over the years rapper Kanye West has made headlines as a result of his larger than life persona just as frequently as for his impressive catalogue of music. His outrageous comments and misdeeds have earned the rapper a reputation that West seemed to embrace and further through additional comments. Now though, the rapper is making moves to change the public’s perception of him.
