This coincides with my short-term career goal to join a great company and manage a productive team. With Individualization, I will be able to notice what is distinct about each person and how they interact with others. This will be extremely helpful to manage and organize an effective team. I am able to tailor my supervising and teaching skills to let everyone in the team excel in their specific strength. I believe that this strength is very descriptive in my beliefs. With the strength of Responsibility, I will not give up on any task that I start. Once I have begun working on an assignment, I will follow through with it. I will get emotionally attached to what I am working on and will want to see the assignment all the way through till it is finished. Along with this, if I let someone down, it will deeply impact me. I will make sure that I make up for it. I believe this is crucial in the business world. Once I begin an assignment I will see that it will be completed in a timely and structured manner. Growing Others: The strength of Developer goes hand in hand with the other strengths that I possess. Developer is the idea that I will see the potential in others. I will want to see each individual succeed in anything they attempt. So not only do I find the unique thing about them, I will make sure that they are growing and I will challenge them to succeed. To become an affective manager I will need to possess this strength to see that every person in my team will grow and succeed with each other. When everyone is growing in the team, the outcome will be a success. Evaluate
People have many different strengths in their lives. According to the strengthsfinder my top five five strength are input, harmony, maximize, communication, and responsibility. I will be utilizing my strengths in many different ways whether it's at work, home or school. While at work, home, or school I will use my input with making different decision. Utilizing input is very important for so many different reason.
Identifying and understanding your own personal strengths is key to being a successful leader. Knowing your strengths means you can focus your efforts to maximize results, in yourself and in others. Strengths Finder 2.0 is designed to uncover your strengths and utilize these strengths to your advantage (Rath, 2007). Identifying and applying these strengths to your leadership style, will enhance your effectiveness as a transformational leader.
At first I didn’t quite understand some of the strength until I read in depth of what each term meant. Consistency is one I felt was not fitting until I fully understood the meaning of it. According to Gallup website, under Your Personalized Strengths Insights, “You like knowing what to expect next. You probably dislike being caught off guard or surprised.” This part spoke to me the most because I rather know what I’m getting into instead of not knowing. Since consistency is one of my five strengths I’m able to write out what can happen to what can’t when deciding on outcomes in work projects to personal life decisions. This helps with being aware of how certain situations can either fall or succeed as a leader. If I was working with a group of people and had to incorporate my natural abilities I think it would be challenging depending on who is in the group. Everyone works differently so it varies if I can use all five or just a few of the strengths. For example, when I started at my current job as a receptionist I didn’t know any medical terms or had any office experience. I had to learn how the environment was like and how people worked. My focus was making sure I knew what my goals and the company’s were and focus on achieving the goals. After that, make sure I was consistent about it while setting a future goal and getting to know the people you work with by small talks. There
These strengths include organization, participation, and creation of checklists. I feel I stay very organized in this class, as I have all of my documents organized inside my binder ready for a notebook check. In regards to participation, I try my best to raise my hand nearly every class. I stay active and focused so that I can obtain all of the information. I also ask questions frequently which helps me to avoid mistakes or any confusion. My final strength, the fact that I create checklists, has benefitted me immensely. Checklists help to make sure all requirements are met for any project or essay, which is how I received a 91 on my Pilgrim Presentation and an 85 on my Canterbury Tales Short Essay. Checklists have helped me to score higher on assignments with multiple requirements, but not all assignments were as simple as creating a
Personally I believe that I am organised, I always carry round a diary, where I note down important dates and deadlines, and therefore allowing me to manage my time more efficiently. Another strength that I have is that I know how to operate a computer and I know how to use a computer effectively, at GCSE I got a B in my exam in Information and Technology, therefore giving me an advantage compared to someone who do not know how to use the computer. I also believe that I am confident, and that I have courage and the ability to speak to new people and adapt myself to a new environment without feeling uncomfortable. As well as that, I am also able to work in a group, where I can listen to my members in my group as well as voice my own opinion.
Another strength is self-confidence. I am highly confident personally as well as professionally to talk to and handle the customers. I got appreciation on comment letter by guest so many times. I am confident enough to talk diplomatic way with my co-workers and managers when needed. On my lower strengths, I found out that I totally get upset and very tense while working on my assignments. The assignment I am doing if something from it cannot understand made me very irritating and frustrated. I am very reserve personality because I don’t like to approach others without any concerns. It is hard for me to focus on different issues on one time. Strengths is something like make you feel power when you finish the task. For instance, I have been working on my final paper since we start the semester three weeks ago, and now that aim almost done I feel energizes spiritually even though I feel exhausted physically. Learning these basic skills in class have help grow professionally. Uncovering hidden strengths will allow you growing and transformation to
The StrengthsFinder Survey showed me that my five strengths were: strategic, futuristic, responsibility, relator, and belief. I feel like these strengths have made m into the woman that I am today, and will also continue to help me mold into the woman I will become. I feel that I am strategic, because I always seek out the main goal in everything that I do (Gallup, 2010).
I have many other strengths beside the ones my peers identified. Gratitude is one of my strengths. This means that I am aware and thankful for the things that happen or I have in my life. I avoid taking things for granted and value my life. Another strength is Prudence. This means that I process my actions and do not go through with
I have two strengths that I can bring to an organization that can dramatically change the landscape of the business or help increase profits rapidly. The first strength I bring to an organization is my ability to coach and train my employees/team with an open and honest review system. By regularly performing reviews and delivering
Strengths that I do posses are that I always get everything done on time, even if its last minute. I feel that being an extravert is a strength; I love being a team leader and being involved in group discussion and projects. I am trying so hard this year to get good grades so I can get either in to Arizona State University or Northern Arizona University. My motivation and determination keeps me going and I just remind myself every night to try my hardest in everything I do, so I can reach my goals to be successful in
My number one strength is Learner. An individual strong in the Learner theme have a strong desire to learn and continuously improve (Rath, 2008). Individuals with this strength enjoy the process of learning, rather than the outcome. I have always liked to learn new things, so it is no surprise that Learner is one of my strengths. Being able read both Chinese and English enable me to learn things from different point of views. For example, historical events in different countries often have different narratives. I also like to wide ranges of books such as science fiction, history, cookbooks, etc. Reading always opens my mind to different world.
When it comes to my individual strengths, firstly I feel like my Jungian typology helps me since it gives me something that sets me apart from other managers that I currently or previously have interacted with. Something that I feel like is my own personal strength is with me sensing
Another strength I have is professional competence. I am a team player at school/work, I respect/understand other diversities, I am professional in the way I address others, and I accept supervision feedback in a satisfactory manner. After my assignments are graded on canvas, I try to reach out to the professor on feedback that I can help me improve professionally and academically.
Another agency strength for me is actively participating. This is completely different than my first domain, but I always try to participate. In the rubric it says “Actively participates in the activity/discussion, team meeting, or independent time and has strategies for staying focused and resisting most distraction”. Whenever I am unfocused I make sure it is quiet and then I get focused. I always try to participate when I understand. Doing my part of the group work , I never have late work, and helping when needed. I want to use strengths to over power and make my weaknesses my
Every person has his or her own strengths, it is what makes us individuals. For myself, the StrengthsQuest assessment helped me realize that my top strengths are adaptability, strategic, restorative, developer, and input. For most, these strengths mean nothing unless one has taken the StrengthsQuest his or her-self, usually when most think about strengths, they think of if they are a people person, if they can use a computer efficiently; stuff one usually puts on an application for a job to make his or her-self sound like an astounding candidate for employment.
