The world is changing, and changing fast. Technology, education, health, eating habits, dress - there is hardly anything in life that is not changing, some changes we like, while others create fear and anxiety. Several predictions were made that the world will end in 2012 based on the rollover of the Mayan calendar but all these forecasting were proved to be fictitious. On the contrary we are living in the 21st century, 2025 and the world has changed tremendously in the last 13 years. The world has been transformed by the digital revolution and advances in medicine and human knowledge. The present-day civilization stands on two legs, one is spirituality, and the other is science.
Today, I woke up and have a coffee. My eyes got baffled to the digital newspaper headlines and it was written that ‘Colonization on Mars has begun’. Then suddenly I remembered my old days when newspapers were printed on papers. Technology has changed every aspect of life. Now people are going to live on Mars and the problem of over-population has been solved. Then I got ready and proceed towards my office. Earlier we have to catch an auto or bus to reach our destination and now the transportation has become so simple that we can travel from one place to another with ease. Being as an engineer in Metro Services I feel proud to work there because it has solved the transportation problem. While sitting in the metro I saw the streets which were so clean that not even a single paper was thrown away. At
In the 21st century, America faces various threats and challenges to its authority as a growing world power. These threats and challenges help define America’s role as a growing world power in the 21st century. As a large nation, America faces a plethora of issues and continues to compete against other world powers. America today is plagued with various economic, social, political, and military problems, with little or no simple or practical solutions available.
“Learning to love yourself will be the hardest thing you’ll ever do in life”. The 21st century, the era of perfection. The era where you are told how to look or else you are not considered beautiful to the world. The era where people like myself go through extremes to be beautiful even just feel beautiful. The extremes that I took were, looking for “love” anywhere with anyone, not caring about my health, and putting my academic career in danger, all of that just to be and feel beautiful.
“The natural world is so adaptable...So adaptable you wonder what’s natural,” states M.T. Anderson, the author of Feed. Today, society is changing everything one step at a time as more important points continue improving. This will leave the present to change and so will the future, but unfortunately we cannot do anything about it, because the past is already gone. For example, if marketing tactics, technology addiction, and consumerism continue, it will change how we work today. These three problems can affect us negatively, that if we continue, our future would not look as bright as a dream full of rainbows and sunshine.
Much is always happening in the world. Wars are fought; peace is achieved. Nations change governments. Inventions improve life. Economies flourish or decline. Crimes are committed and solved. Candidates win or lose. Natural disasters occur.
The Mars One project, a mission that will attempt to establish a permanent human settlement on Mars, has become immensely popular since its announcement in December of 2013. With the mission’s growing popularity, the CEO of the project, Bas Lansdrop, has established that within twelve years, the first humans will land on the surface of the barren planet and begin colonization (“Mars One: Roadmap”.) Mars One presents our species with the capability to discover new life forms, valuable resources, and it pushes the limits of our technological potential. It is not perplexing to see why countless individuals have signed up to be a part of this historic mission, and ultimately “the next giant leap for mankind.” (Lansdrop.) Although this mission
The Anthropocene additionally enables us to rethink the connection amongst people and whatever is left of the normal world. Regardless of when it started, the idea of the Anthropocene is noteworthy. It features the size of our effect on Earth. By characterizing another epoch, we are announcing that the effect of our activities is worldwide and irreversible. It enables us to join various talks in regards to the condition of the planet, from environmental change to loss of biodiversity to natural degradation, by distinguishing the one thing they have in like manner; they have all been influenced by human impact.
Since the beginning of time, the human race has changed in a variety of ways. In theTimes Magazine articles, The War of Delicious; Alzheimer's from a New Angle; The United States of Insdvency; Why You Shouldn't be Allowed to Drive; and Encounters with the Archgenius, all discuss how humanity is changing. In analyzing these articles it becomes quite clear that humanity is changing drastically and quickly because we are becoming blind to the world around us. We are not sure on what is in our food or how it is made, the technology we have today is becoming more and more powerful and is taking over our real life relationships with other people, the medicine that we have been discovering is curing more diseases than we could have even imagined
The activities which humans engage in daily is rapidly increasing its impact on the environment. Anthropocene, being a term used environmentalists who look into the results of the future, this concept describes the present period we are in, compares it with the happenings of the past, and predicts what could occur in future. I totally agree that there is a change in our climate and ecosystem. For example, Will Steffen, in his lecture, Anthropocene: Where on Earth are We Going, deliberates on the hidden happenings behind these rapid changes (The Athropocene, 2015). The lecture also talks about the factors that lead to these changes, which also influences humans, such factors are environmental degradation and global warming among others,
Today, in 21st century United States, people are concerned with the fast pace of new and growing technology, and how these advances should be used. In the last decade alone we have seen major advancements in technology; in science, cloning has become a reality, newer, more powerful drugs have been invented and, in communications, the Internet has dominated society. There is a cultural lag due to the fast rate of increasing technology, and while the governments of the world are trying to keep up their role as censors and lawmakers, we as individuals are trying to comprehend the effects it has on our lives. Will these advances enhance our lives to an unprecedented level of comfort, or lead to the loss
Life during the mid-century era was quite different compared to the life we all live in today. It was during the beginning of the cold war and only a handful of years removed from World War II where people were uncertain with their life’s duration in the long run. People saw their home and family as an outlet to the wildness of the outside world. The home was also looked at as a safety net which secured their loved ones from great harm. Because of the fact that two World Wars had ended, along with the worst financial crisis in history in the Great Depression, Americans were exhausted with battles and wars, ultimately referring to settling down and having children with their loved ones. During this period of time, Americans were eager to start families as fast as they possibly could, leading to the phrase known as “baby
III. Main Point: Our future is in for a drastic change from what we call normal today.
While many people are focused on the present, living in the moment, and doing what’s best for them right now, it is important to think about the influence it has on others. The scientific and technological advances made now will have a great effect on how lives are lived in the

The most critical social problem of the 21st century is Capitalism. Capitalism today is what use to be the color line as defined in the early 1900s by W. E. B Du Bois as: the question of the relation of the advanced races of men who happened to be white to the great majority of the undeveloped or half-developed nations of mankind who happen to be yellow, brown or black (Karenga). As Du Bois researched the color line, Capitalism in America is a systemic system of oppression transcended through time and space. In the 20th century, systems of systemic oppression were overt and known methods of suppression, alienation and repression, while today they are more covert in both practice and those who oppress.
