As a result of taking The Life Styles Inventory I have found that my two primary personal thinking styles fell into the groups of achievement and self-actualizing. In these groups I received my highest scores of 95%.

Secondly, it was helpful in identifying the traits that I hold and can further expand upon.
As far as choosing a limiting style, I would have to choose Approval. I scored a 25% in this area. I don`t hold the negative attributes of this style, such as Low self-esteem or a Preoccupation with the opinions of others, or for that matter any of the others. However, maybe this could work against me to a certain extent. It may be beneficial to me to more cognitive of what others think. Sometimes I just follow my own program of thinking that working hard and learning the next thing is adequate. Many of my peers are preoccupied with showing off to the boss. This could be an area that I could improve in.
An example of a behavior in this category would be, “an over-concern with being popular and well-liked”. I am well liked and popular amongst my immediate peers, however, I should be more concerned with impressing management level employees. This could improve my chances for advancement.
I do have an example of this. A gentleman by the name of John has very well developed interpersonal skills and follows the “metrics” of our company extremely well. However, he does not possess many problem solving attributes and was recently promoted to a higher position. When John is faced with a problem he can`t handle, he generally escalates it to our tier two representatives. This is well within his job description, but most of us try to learn how to solve the issue
It helped me to have a broader view in my field of competency and to find new ideas from people who shared their own.
The Life Styles Conflict Inventory assignment gave me a chance to see on paper how my thinking styles influence my ability to deal with conflict situation. The life styles survey is geared towards helping individuals gain an insight into their own self development and personality along with the type of behaviors we exercise to others as well. By doing the survey, I have a better understanding on how I can constructively deal with conflict as an individual. The survey also helps us take a look on the positive and negative qualities of our own personalities and different ways we to build and improve upon them.
Overall I have evaluated how my personal learning and development has benefited others around me. The knowledge you gain from education should be used to educate and promote the wellbeing of others around you. This helps to increase their knowledge and also benefit them to have wide range of
The life styles inventory is a survey of questions that help us to gain an insight into our own personality and what type of behaviors we exert to others as individuals. It helps us to look at the positive and negative qualities of our personalities and ways to improve upon them. A look at my LSI styles complex radiates that my primary thinking style is linked to the avoidance category. The avoidance scale states that I tend to use the strategy of withdrawal by hiding my feelings and being shy to express myself. It also states that as things become more threatening to me the more I tend to avoid those situations. These thinking styles are linked to feelings of denying responsibility for my own
It has helped me think about my word choice and to study concepts a bit more in depth.
Identifying my learning style has allowed me to make more effective decision in choosing learning strategies. By identifying my personality type has helped me evaluate the way I react to people and situations. There are two assessments available to help figure out your learning style and personality. The first is Multiple Pathways to Learning which is based on Professor Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligence Theory that focuses on peoples learning strengths and preferences. The second is The Personality Spectrum based on the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory which identifies which personality

The last category scored a little lower. In the enterprising category, I scored a 58.333. The individuals who relate to enterprising are “the persuaders”. People within this category like to lead. They enjoy activities that are competitive and require selling and promoting. Additionally, these individuals are self-confident and talkative both of these characteristics reflect my personality. There are definitely some consistencies within these three categories.
The form should be filled out by the center with the correct information and then sent to the customer for review. The document is still correct. Under “Differences Summary” it should list what is on FSI PDL. The customer would not know this information. Please update the form correctly and re-submit.
After taking the lifestyles inventory interpretation test my primary and secondary personal thinking styles are more apparent to me. I have scored the highest in percentile of Oppositional and Power styles and very closely followed by perfectionist and competitive styles. My percentile scores in these areas were 99% for oppositional, 99% for power, and 95% for competitive. Regarding the primary style, oppositional, it is a very close perception of who I am. Taking the Life Styles Inventory (LSI) survey has really made me realized and confirm many
Learning about my interest improved my understanding of hard you have to work to get where you want to be. What I learned about my interest is that it takes a lot of
After finishing the LSI Style Interpretation for this class I was identified as have the humanistic- encouraging style as my top style with a score of 38 which placed me in the top 93 percent of persons who took the interpretation. My second top style was the affiliative style in which I scored 37 and placed in the top 90 percent of persons who took the interpretation. After contemplating my work / leadership style(s) and comparing how I interact with co- workers and subordinates, I agree with the results and will further discuss my reasoning in this paper.
My primary thinking style is dependent. This style fell into the high range of the LSI Style Circumplex with a 96 percentile score. Dependent thinking style is originates in a need for security and self-protection: dependent people typically feel that they have very little control over their lives. This type of behavior may be long-standing, or due to temporary life changes such as a new job, a promotion, an illness, or the break-up of a close relationship. When dependent behavior occurs as a result of a temporary life change, the feelings of dependency tend to diminish as the particular situation is resolved. I feel that the result for dependent style is that the dependent person tend to feel
My score was 65, which seems agreeable with my personality because I do live in the "now", but I also like to reflect on the past to improve my future. I also try not to live with regrets because one can't truly move on and improve if you dwell on things that's past. Yet, I can't say that I have done this with every situation that has happened in my life. What I found interesting about this was how it ties in with the "Which side of the brain do you use?" survey. I seem to always be close to the middle of things as if I'm on the fence. I don't think that makes me indecisive but I like to look at all angles, even when it's not needed. I like the fact that I am on the higher side of the scale because the characteristics of the score of 90 is
This assessment shows its strength by the fact that I feel as though it matches with my life. Through this, I have gain insight to the fact that I could be helpful but almost to the degree in which I could be harmful to me. While reading the description, I was proud at some parts and discourage at others. However, I do have the understanding that every personality-type as a flaw. This assessment was useful in terms of gaining insight to my motivation, strengths and weakness of my personality. This can be a useful tool to use with clients.
