St. Thomas My favorite vacation spot is St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. I have been there ten times and every time has affected me in different aspects. Each year that I have gone, I have discovered something new that makes me never want to leave. The people, food, and culture are all so unique because I do not witness it on an every day basis. In the islands there are unique sights, sounds, and smells that let me know I am away from home relaxing and enjoying vacation with family. When we first get to St. Thomas and are ready to finally get off the airplane, it is not like a normal airplane where we walk through a tunnel to get to the airport. We get to do this really cool thing where we walk down a set of portable stairs to get off of the airplane and then walk to the airport. It almost feels like I am in a dream with the harsh winds from the propeller blowing against my face and making my hair a big, crazy mess. When I look to the left all I can see is the bright, crystal clear Caribbean water. On the right, there are tons of beautifully built houses all along the green mountains. Getting off the airplane and seeing these sights get me excited knowing that a thrilling vacation has started. I have never heard of this anywhere else other than St. Thomas, but when people are driving and they want to say thank you, they honk at you. For example, if someone lets us over, into their lane, we would honk at them to say thank you. Another sound that I enjoy hearing in
Have you ever been on a vacation? To me a vacation is a time to be with friends or family. When I think of vacations, I think of packing, the flight or drive, and relaxation. Not only is it very exciting to go on a vacation, but you get closer to the people that go with you.
A place that I enjoy going to is the beach. It is seen as a place of relaxation because it is normally quiet and peaceful. To look around you and see the beauty of mother of nature at it`s finest. The majorit of people you ask will say that it is one of their favorite vacation destination. Not only for the beauty and relaxation but for the sheer entertainment. That is three reason I enjoy it as much as I do.
I am drawn to the thought that vacationing is a way of making everlasting memories, in addition to encountering many diverse cultures around the world.
A few minutes before we landed at the airport, I looked at the screen in front of me and it showed ‘33°C’. It had been a year since I last experienced that kind of heat and I couldn’t bear it last time, so I wondered how I would cope with the heat this time. As the plane began to slow and turn into terminal, I could hear people around me start to get there belongings together so that they could get off the plane first. People returned the magazines to the rack on the back of the chair in front of them and I turned off my iPod and put it back in my bag. When I took my headphones out, I felt like I was back in the real world now as I had been concentrating on listening to music for hours. It seemed like time was going slower and slower
Trying to find memories is like looking for treasure. You look at the surface and see something mediocre, but you dig deep and find something cool, pretty, and meaningful. It took a while to think of a fond memory, but once I thought of some, it was hard to choose a favorite. Growing up I have had many great experiences in the form of vacations. Between going to Disney World, owning a vacation home, hanging out with my grandparents in Arizona, traveling to Canada and more. They all make amazing memories that I will forever cherish. The vacation spot we go to the most, though, is Wisconsin Dells. A few times I have been allowed to invite friends to come with. When I am allowed to bring friends, it is always a ginormous amount of fun. We goof off in the hotel room, play in the arcades, and swim in the water parks.
There are many natural places all over the world. One of the places I have been to, and really enjoyed, is Niagara Falls. This place is absolutely amazing. It has amazing sights and scenes, as well as other fun tourist attractions. Going on the tour at Niagara Falls taught me a lot about the site. I love this place because everytime I go there I am sent to this place that I could find, it just takes me away
It may sound like a slight cliché but this is an experience that you will truly never forget, as you feel such unity with nature and this cannot be explained until you have witnessed it yourself. You start to think “maybe this is how life should be lived?” A life without worries, responsibilities or stress, a life that is to be lived out how you want, without any authoritative figure forcing you how to live, presenting you with an immense urge to just leave the dull and dark cruel society that we are faced with everyday to go and discover the kind of rare tranquillity that can be found in an such an incredible place unfound and unscathed by the greed of man. The crystal clear sea, the incredible exotic creatures and the peaceful life style of the Caribbean is what makes it so remarkable.
The only sound that filled my ears was my keyboard clicking as my fingers raced across it. I had been procrastinating from finishing this assignment all evening, but I knew I needed to get it done. The burning sunset was shining through the windows as I was finishing up. It was a peaceful silence, until I heard the soft whispers of my parents that ignited my sense of curiosity. I was concentrating hard; doing my best trying to make out the hushed words that were being spoken.
After you choose your destination the next thing you must do is reserve your airfare and hotel. This may be tough because there are many websites and travel agents that you can go through. I have found that it is cheaper and easier to go through Expedia.com. You can book your hotel and flight all together and pay one low price. I have also found that flying with Southwest Airlines is very cheap and they have many one way stops all across the country and for a cheap hotel that is very nice I recommend the Extended Stay America.
The 7-day stay in Zermatt, Switzerland was my favorite trip to date. The crisp, chilly air. The clear and blue skies and greenery everywhere blanketed by snow. It was a town I wouldn’t mind to live in for the rest of my life. It was the perfect place to unwind in after the hardest trip ever from Milan.
Almost everyone has their own idea of a dream vacation. It's the perfect place to get away from the reality of every day life and the stress that goes along with it, and the choices and ideas of the “perfect vacation” are as varied as the people who dream about them. Some fantasize about lazing on a warm, sunny beach with soft ocean breezes and a cold exotic drink at their side. Some dream of forests and wildlife, cool running streams, and fresh mountain air that is thick with the scent of pine. There are those whose ideas of the perfect dream vacation involves the thrill of stock car racing mixed with the roar of the crowd, the smell of fuel and hot asphalt that's
Another place I have loved visiting was Los Angeles during a delivery trip with my dads commercial truck which we saw lots of cool stuff during our way down to Los Angeles we saw new cool stuff out in the west new foods , new culture we tried out this weird food I have never tried fried squirrel which was amazing food I wish they served in New York it kinda tasted like fried chicken. While we were out on this trip we saw one of tournaments for my favorite video game which was awesome to watch. My favorite team won during the tournament. After the tourney we delivered our load to the destination and while we were coming back we got more of our favorite food fried squirrel. We loved go out to Los Angeles its our favorite place to deliver a load to because you find so much stuff out to west and instead of the south which is much interesting to look for.
Spending quality time with family is one of my favorite childhood memories, whether it was spending time outdoors, playing ping pong, or watching a movie. My most meaningful family memory came from our vacation to Colorado back in 2004; yes, 2004. Although I don’t remember all of the events that transpired, I’m able to recall most of the memorable events that took place. It was a cool, misty morning in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, and I could distinctly hear the unmistakable elk calls that echoed through the mountains. The breeze gently scraped my face as I got into the car to begin the first day of our family vacation in Colorado. I could hear the car tires gently humming on the road during this cool, foggy, Colorado morning. As I looked past the lanky pine trees, glistening drops of dew formed on the tall grass, dancing with the wind. As we moved further down the road, I could see the tip of the sun barely begin to peek over the steep, snowy mountain peaks; however, the sun was soon covered by the misty Colorado clouds. This was it: our family vacation!
There are certain memories that we have that we can remember like they happened yesterday. Many of those memories that have special meaning to me were of family vacations when I was young growing up with my brothers and sisters. Family memories are important to many of us because they take us back to a time or place that was special. One particular family vacation I remember vividly, and it’s a story I have shared with my kids on many occasions. Over the 40 or more years since that memorable vacation, I still smile and think how lucky I was growing up with a mother and father that did everything to give their kids an unforgettable memory.
Most people that have gone to Orlando for holidays, ended with good memories. I’m not the exception. The resorts, the parks, and the restaurant make Orlando the best place to enjoy for the whole family. My last holiday with my nephew in The Wall Disney World Resort was the best time of our life for my family and me.
