In Night by Elie Wiesel, Elie wrote about his journey through the Holocaust and how it impacted his faith. Before the Holocaust, Elie became very passionate about Judaism, but his learning was stopped abruptly because the Nazis had arrived. The Nazis took away his teacher, along with his neighbors. Soon, the Nazis came back for the remaining citizens and loaded them into a train. This was the beginning of the Holocaust, in which Elie would experience many horrific events. Throughout Night, Elie’s faith decreases because of the harsh conditions of concentration camps and the declining health of his father.

Through his first-person memoir Night, Elie Wiesel reveals that people experience changes in their attitude as they become products of their environments.

Night is a book written by Elie Wiesel. In this book Wiesel tells about his experiences in the Holocaust. Wiesel was only twelve years old when the Holocaust first affected him. Early on Wiesel was separated from his mother and sister. Him and his father were then moved from camp to camp having to endure harsh conditions. Together they both saw terrible things that they will never forget. Many conflicts in The Holocaust changed both Wiesel and his father. The two factors that affected Wiesel the most was him having to indirectly face the entire Nazi society and his believe and trust in God.

Alycia Grant Rough Draft: The book "Night by Elie Wiesel was the most interesting book that I have ever read. It conveyed very well what had occurred during the Holocaust. Reading this book made me feel the emotions, and stress involved with him being in this situation. The writing was descriptive, but not too much so that it was boring. The writing in this story painted a vivid picture in my mind. No matter where he was, I had a good idea of how his environment appeared in his mind. He described well what he felt, heard, smelled, tasted, and seen. This made me like the book much more, and it helped me better understand how horrible and traumatic this event really was. Elie Wiesel is a strong person in my opinion for being able to go through what he did, and then write about exactly what happened, in deep detail, afterwards.

Inhumanity. The cruelest of people are responsible for this. In Night, Elie Wiesel uses imagery, tone, and characterization to show the effects of inhumane actions. Night is about a young boy and his father who get separated from the rest of their family during selection of the Holocaust. This story tells how Elie survived his times in the concentration camps, even with all of the inhumane actions of the Germans.

Night is a recollection of Elie Wiesel’s time spent during the holocaust. It is a gripping tale of survival and death. While it is a small book, it has a huge message. During the time in which the book takes place, the Jewish people were srtripped of their humanity. Elie and his fellow inmates at Auschwitz endure dehumanization throughout starvation and on the train to Buchenwald.

In the novel Night, Elie Wiesel writes about his experience inside the concentration camps of Germany during World War Two. He realizes how his humanity changes after he is free. Elie ponders about if he can be re-humanized after he passes trials, when he looks at a mirror. Wiesel uses a gloomy tone to reveal the Nazis’ plan to dehumanize the Jews so that their suffering .

As humans, we require basic necessities, such as food, water, and shelter to survive. But we also need a reason to live. The reason could be the thought of a person, achieving some goal, or a connection with a higher being. Humans need something that drives them to stay alive. This becomes more evident when people are placed in horrific situations. In Elie Wiesel's memoir Night, he reminisces about his experiences in a Nazi concentration camp during the Holocaust. There the men witness horrific scenes of violence and death. As time goes on they begin to lose hope in the very things that keep them alive: their faith in God, each other, and above all, themselves.

It was at first a slow progression from limiting the rights of the Jewish people, to wearing the Star of David and then to the attempted extermination. The Germans then began a race to kill the Jews as quickly as they could (Wiesel, 2008).

As more cruelty was bestowed upon them, the lower their flame of hope and faith became as they began turning on each other and focused on self preservation over family and friends. The flame within them never completely died, but rather stayed kindling throughout the journey until finally it stood flickering and idle at the eventual halt of this seemingly never-ending nightmare. Elie depicts the perpetuation of violence that crops up with the Jews by teaching of the loss in belief of a higher power from devout to doubt they

Wiesel’s painful memories that he retained from the Holocaust, are useful to keep locked in his mind. They are useful to keep locked in because it is one of the only ways to remember the people and things he lost. Another reason to keep the memories is that by losing the memories he wouldn’t be himself anymore. The final reason as to why to hold onto the memories and keep them intact is, what good is going through something tragic and not knowing how to handle it seeing as you destroyed the memories? I will be taking the side of yes he should keep his memories of the Holocaust and I will continue to explain why.

The novel Night by Eliezer Wiesel tells the tale of a young Elie Wiesel and his experience in the concentration camps,and his fight to stay alive . The tragic story shows the jewish people during the Holocaust and their alienation from the world. Elie’s experience changes him mentally, and all actions in taken while in the concentration were based on one thing...Survival.

The novel “Night” was written by Elie Wiesel and is a memoir of his life during World War II. The book starts with his life living in Hungary with his family. It then tells of how they were taken away to concentration camps throughout the war. During Elie’s stays at the various camps you see the sacrifices he makes and how the experience changes him.
