Before beginning of this quarter, I had no formal education on the topic of love or cinema studies which made this course seem the most intriguing. This was a completely new topic to me. Through the many assignments and group discussions, I have a much greater understanding of the world of film and understanding love in east Asian countries. With the help of my peers reviewing my assignments and providing a different perspective on my essays, I have honed my abilities in writing and thorough film analysis.
I have added the assignments SA 1.2, SA 1.3, and SA 1.4 my short assignment because these assignments created the foundation to my film analysis. SA 1.2 taught me to look deeper into the meaning of a scene’s mise-en-scene. This is where
During our investigation, we reached out to our Grievance & Appeal contact and we spoke with Candice who advised us that Dr. Dozier is not contracted as of June 1, 2015, we currently have your primary care physician as Dr. Nassef Henein, that with an HMO plan, your Primary Care Physician should coordinate our care and refer you when you need to see another provider or specialist, that you should chose providers who are not only contracted with Blue Cross Senior Secure Plan II (HMO). If you have questions about
2a. Habituation is when the response to a certain stimuli decrease when it becomes frequent. For example, when I first moved into my apartment I would always hear the train at nighttime and it would keep me up or wake me up when it would start passing by. After a month or so, my body stopped responding to the train blowing its horn when it would pass. It is an appropriate example because after I became habituated to the sound, I started getting more sleep and more sleep meant a restful night to recharge for the next day.
In the midst of September 2013, I began volunteering at The Valley Hospital as a pharmacy department assistant. My primary task while attending two-hour shifts was to organize the medicine returned by doctors into specific compartments. Along with that I also had the responsibility to empty medicine carts and associate them into boxes for the next volunteers to organize after I finished my shift. Sometimes, one of the pharmacists available would instruct me to open boxes of saline solutions, tape the appropriate nozzle shut, and use a “price gun” to print appropriate dates on each bag. During this entire experience, I have learned to have responsibility and to act in a mature manner when working alongside pharmacists who are so talented in
In the first portion of this assignment I read about what makes an internet site believable and factual. Many of the sites that I had looked at didn’t have solid documentation to click on. The links to the sources were almost all non existent. The two sites about aides had me thinking about who got the information and for what reason did they put it onto their site. A very skeptical fact I saw on the first site was saying that “Approximately one in four people living with HIV infection in the United States are women.” My question is, where did that statistic come from? I looked at other sites and didn’t see that HIV was specific to only women, but instead it was many people that live in the world don’t even know they have the disease. After doing more research on the page I saw information of stating why they were doing the study, and they are doing it as a charity for health departments that couldn’t make money.
I face a number of unusual personal expenses that make it difficult for my family to contribute to the cost of my education. Unfortunately, I along with my two other siblings and mother have been diagnosed with a variety of autoimmune diseases. I have been diagnosed with Type One Juvenile Diabetes, my middle sister has been diagnosed Vitiligo, my youngest sister has a form of Uveitis, and my mother has been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. In order to treat our respective diseases we need to take the prescribed medications that are each very costly and do not have a generic brand available on the pharmaceutical market. The treatment of my, my siblings, and mother’s collective diseases is financially heavy on our family, and it makes it
RI.3.2 Determine the main idea of a text; recount the key details and explain how they support the main idea.
Before I start this application, lemme classify some few things. My name is Bryan and I am 14. I have been on this server for a long time, and I feel that its time for me to move on. I have been wanting to apply since last year. I stopped posting applications since "February" or so (2015). I felt that I've changed a lot in my life and have proven myself enough that I have courage, kindness, respect and strength to do such abilities. I have learnt all my mistakes i did. (Such as: Lying of Age, etc) And i really hope that you all believed me that i changed.
I was standing for 20 minutes “doing nothing” at Jay Gee’s , on a hot weather around 6:00pm on September 9, 2015. This is an ice cream place where families and kids go during the summer to play golfing, go cars, batting cages and an arcade. Families also go to eat ice cream and spend a good time with kids and family. As I was standing in front of kids and adults while they were trying to order ice cream or play, I saw people looking at me with an strange looks, like if I had four head, some people ignore me while others ask me if I was okay or ask me what I was doing and if I needed any help. Others where talking among others criticizing me by saying that I was crazy. Others pull their child away from me like if I was going to something
Before starting my day, I usually put on a earphone and press “shuffle play” on my Throwback playlist on my Spotify account. The most recent five songs that I have listened to before writing this assignment was You Rock My World - With intro by Michael Jackson, Baby, I’m Back by Baby Bash, Just The Two Of Us by Grover Washington, Charlene by Anthony Hamilton, and Show Me The Way by Earth Wind & Fire. Interestingly I have never heard these songs until last year because I was only exposed to music that was on the radio station such as 94.9 or 106.1 where newest and trending songs were played most often. Since three of those songs were produced in early 2000’s and the other two produced between the 1970s and 1980s, I was never able to come across
1 score and 5 years ago I was asked to write a paper about today. Surprisingly I was spot on. Thanks to my family and all my teachers throughout my college years I am a successful Audio Engineer. I started off this journey 26 years ago in 2014 after being released from a prison program called Miami-Dade County Boot Camp. There I learned the discipline it takes to be successful at anything you want to do in your life.
Describe your writing process for this paper: How did you choose an article to analyze? What methods did you use to read and analyze the article? What methods did you use to brainstorm your ideas? How did you decide on the organization of your paper?
Reading Decoding Composite: There were two different tests in this section. The first one required Lisa to read actual words, and the second had her read made up words that followed phonics rules. Lisa scored below average on each of these sections, but she has started to obtain a basic understanding how to decode words. Due to her difficulty in being able to read, Lisa will have difficulty reading and completing assignments in the classroom.
Base on data that my field placement teacher had already collected, I decided to review with the students over Perfect Verb Tense. This is one concept that a lot of the students had a problem grasping the first time and with the Georgia Milestones coming up, they needed some more practice. I know that most of my students are EIP students, so I picked a video to start with as a refresher and then went straight into a review game to keep the students interested in the lesson. Then from there, I picked activities that I knew the students could have fun with base on the interests of my students, activities I’ve seen them play with before, and base on what they are struggling with. For example, the foldable activity is a great activity for my EIP
Christopher was engaged in conversation with CM. CM asked Christopher about his training with Project Clean (Wells Life Network) on 03/05/2018. Christopher replied "that it was OK. I go there Monday- Friday from 10 am to 3 pm, but I have to leave the house at 8 am". CM applauded Christopher for using time management by leaving the house 2 hours before his start time, by ensuring he gets to work for 10am. CM asked Christopher how he gets to Project Clean, since he has to leave 2 hours ahead of his start time. Christopher replied, “I take the bus. I use a MetroCard. I gave the paperwork (SSI award letter) to get a free MetroCard”. CM commended Christopher for providing the documentation (SSI award letter) in a timely manner to ensure
Throughout this semester, the course Great Performances on Film didn’t disappoint. From Carrie being bullied to Esther singing her heart out in Meet Me in St. Louis to The Normal Heart showing the effects of AIDS: the film’s watched in class were truly exciting. Within the films, I learned aspects about how actors portray their characters and the different types of films. Because of these aspects of the films themselves, articles, and clips, all aspects of the course were enjoyable to learn and discuss.
