On the 1st of June, 2015, Intel announced that they acquired Altera, another chip maker in the high technology industry who is particularly professional in producing programmable chips, by $16.7 billion as well as about $54 per share for Altera shareholders, which was the largest acquisition that Intel ever made (Nusca, 2015). The price is quite close to which was proposed by Intel, but in fact, just two months before Intel approved the acquisition, Altera rejected the price that Intel proposed. In the last few years, Intel suffered from the declining sales of personal computers, of which has been the main profitability source, and has been dominated by Intel for a long time, as consumers switch their preference from laptops and personal computers to tablets and other mobile devices (Huddleston, 2015). As a result, away from PCs, Intel has to work harder to get …show more content…
Adopting clouds in a typical manufacturing enterprise can save the cost in a multiple way, for example the elimination of some of the functions that were essential in traditional IT (Xu, 2012). Owing to the decreasing cost, cloud computing lowers IT barriers to innovation, and also makes enterprises easily scale their services according to client demand, which is increasingly reliant on accurate information. Xu (2012) believed that cloud computing may play a critical role in the realization the philosophy of DAMA - ‘‘Design Anywhere, Manufacture Anywhere (DAMA)’’. It connects manufacturing resource planning, enterprise resource planning, engineering resource planning, and customer relationship management together into a system. With enough computing and communication capabilities, a smart factory is not modular-structured, but making machines able to act independently without direct disruption from humans (Radziwon et al., 2014). 2. The use of technology in the classroom is an important tool to utilize as an educator. Technology allows for educators to have instant access to a plethora of resources that would not be available if technology was not used in the classroom. Teachers have the ability to plan lessons, create presentations, and have interactive games for students to use as a learning tool through the use of different digital devices. Modern day technology is rapidly advancing and providing teacher with many different tools to use in the classroom to enhance the students learning experience.
Before students have these fancy smartphones, tablets, laptops and other technology we have today, students in the old days in 1900s wasn’t simple. Students have used the library to do all there research and assignments using library cards to find the books they need to look up information and go to their professor directly to ask questions and turn in the assignments. Students also have to buy lots of textbook for their classes which it can be heavy and must carry it on certain days so they don’t be too tired from carrying textbook. Internet from home was slow from dial-up modem which it dials a number, then make all those weird sound effects from the computer, after that it loaded the page with texts since it has no social media such as Facebook or video streaming site such as Netflix and YouTube; it also annoyed by people told them they have to use the home phone which the person has to disconnect the internet in order to call people unless they have a cell phone. Cell phone can only made phone calls either with the screen or without it, can’t take
1) Abstinence, or preventing sex, is the best way to prevent HIV/STD and pregnancy because if you don't have sex then you don't need to worry about getting pregnant or getting a STD/HIV. Condoms or other ways to prevent it are not always a 100% accurate but if you don't have sex you don't need to worry about it.

Philosophy is dead because philosophy has not kept up with modern developments in science, particularly physics. Scientists have become the source of discovery in our quest for knowledge, (Hawking and Mlodinow, 2011: 1). Obviously, Hawking is a physicists, so seeing were he is coming from when saying this isn't impossible. Hawking could see philosophy not being a major element in science.
Two weeks ago, a brutal piece of ransomware named Petya started circulating in large number. It became quite notable as it targeted its victim exactly where it hurts: right in the startup drives. It encrypted the master boot file and made it inoperable. As a result, victims couldn’t start their computer and access their data without the decryption password.
The main reasons for the use of twitter are that you able to “follow” interesting people, follow trends, good for promoting brands/companies, plenty of celebrity access, and “to the point tweets” as you are limited to type less than 140 characters and finally, a good source for breaking

I believe that it depends on the job the person has. I think it is fine for someone who is at a job that involves a lot of down time to be on social media sites, as long as when they do actually have something they need to be doing they do it, and not be on social media, or their phone at all during this time. The problem for me is when someone has a job that requires attention and focus. If you are supposed to be doing something, and instead you are playing on your phone, whether it’s on social media, playing a game, or just texting a buddy. In my eyes, these are all unacceptable. I realize sometime things come up where being on the phone is ok, kids get sick or someone needs to contact you for some emergency. The obvious answer to this question is people should only be on the phones when they are on break or lunch, but to me I believe there are other times where it is ok. I don’t think there is an exact answer in minutes to this question. I think if someone is playing on their phones when they are supposed to be doing something else is theft.

On the left is the distribution for the thermal cloud, taken when the system is at a larger temperature $\sim400\,\,\textrm{nK}$ than the critical temperature for BECs, the center frame is a point in between that is part condensate and part thermal, $\sim200\,\,\textrm{nK}$, and the final image is purely condensate within the density peak when temperature $\sim50\,\,\textrm{nK}$. The physical size of each image is $\sim200\,\,\mu\textrm{m}\times270\,\,\mu\textrm{m}$ and is taken after a period of about 0.04s. The color represents density, with red as low density and white as high density and the lower the peak the more the atoms have moved
Here we discuss about the common traits or ideas observed in the three research topics. Although, these three papers discuss about different ideas, they all fall under the web data mining domain. web data mining is a hot research topic in the current realm of big data. These papers discuss about the utilisation of the valuable user generated data from the social media or the the browser cookies to provide the best user experience in order to maintain the user interest in the company's product or to take effective decisions by the individual.
The focus of cloud computing is providing with scalable and a cheap on-demand computing infrastructure with a good quality of service levels. The process of the cloud computing involves a set of network enabled services that can be accessed in a simple and general way. Cloud computing provides with a unique value proposition for any organization to outsource their information and communication technology infrastructure. Moreover, the concept itself provides with a value proposition for an organization as using the cloud saves on cost, resources, and staff, and business opportunities for the organization (Katzan). An extensive connectivity of
This article contains a complete history of Cloud Computing up to current day and the speculative future of Cloud Computing. I also address the concerns and potential benefits of Cloud Computing.
The Important of Cloud Computing is increasing and it is receiving a growing attention in Scientific & Industrial Communities. Cloud computing is one of the top 10 most important technologies and has a greater possibility in successive years by companies and organizations. Cloud computing implement everywhere, favourable, on demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g. networks, servers, storage, applications and servers) that can be immediately supply and released with minimal management effort.
