Becoming a mother changed my life in a very profound way. Due to my own upbringing, I was less prepared emotionally and mentally than the average young married woman, but with my dearest husband by my side I knew we would survive the parenting journey together. Sacrifices, including my educational goals at that time, were made. Those choices were happily chosen, because I knew that for me to be a “successful” mother, I needed to focus on my child (now 4 children) and grow to become the mother I needed to be, while also supporting my husband as he focused on his career, education and future endeavors. With CCU’s reputation, Christian world view, and convenient 5 week online courses that are “portable” I feel that this is my opportunity to attend courses and start taking those baby steps towards completing step #1 – an associates degree. In the grand scheme of life, it is my whole hearted desire to serve as a mother and wife, while still tending to my dreams and desires. Being a mother and military wife has been a journey where I have learned great things about myself and how strong I truly am when conquering real life problems, both as an everyday housewife rearing children, and as a military spouse that tends to automobile issues, finances, and various unreal issues that occur only when my husband is away. The strength, dedication, perseverance and tenaciousness I’ve developed through life will motivate me to continue the course I’ve set. Whether it is helping families through law or education,
