Mexico, a great place to visit. Especially when you have family over there, but when the family doesn’t like you and they are selfish then that’s when you might not want to visit them. My vacation to Mexico had many memorable moments, but when my cousin’s and I were playing hide and seek and I had to jump off a two story roof, because my cousin wouldn’t let me back in his house. This was one of many.
It all started off with my family and I going to Mexico. We were going on a vacation. I was pretty excited to see my cousin. He was a really funny guy, especially because the way he tells his jokes. When we got to my godfather’s house, it was huge. It had 2 stories, 5 bathrooms, 5 bedrooms, a garage, and a big patio. I realized that staying at his house was going to be the best . So my cousin, brother, and I we all ate when we arrived. After we ate we went outside to play soccer, as we were going outside I noticed he had and ATV. He said we could use it later. After soccer we went inside to shower, because we were gonna go to the mall.
When we arrived to the mall it was average size. It had about 15 stories, a movie theatre, and an arcade. We walked around the mall for a bit and then we decided to watch a movie. We were going to watch The Amazing Spider-Man. After the movie we decided to go home, and
Waving goodbye from the backseat of the car, as we pull out of my parent’s driveway. Looking out the window at the oddly, white shaped clouds. Thinking, I had never been away from my parents and my younger sister for so long, even though it was only for two weeks. I was excited and scared all at once, but I wasn’t too thrilled about the whole 29-hour drive there. Hoping that the trip would go well and nothing bad will happen to us.
Like every other teenager my winter breaks are usually boring and I don’t do anything, but this break was the best one yet. My parents decided to take us on a trip that I have been dreaming for since I was 10 , they took us to Cancun , Mexico. I had been dying for this day , it was a dream come true. After a 4 hour flight I just wanted to eat and be on the beach but when we landed our car rental was waiting to be picked up and I was getting so impatient. Finally after 30 minutes of paperwork and waiting we were headed out of the airport to our hotel room. As soon as we got our hotel room I showered and watched tv , when I was watching tv I accidently fell asleep for 3 hours . I woke up at 7 and the sun was already setting , I was so mad because if I went to the
We had been waiting for this trip for years. Every 5 years we go on a trip to someplace fun. When five years passed after our trip to disneyland we were all waiting to go on some other adventure. I had done this twice, but 2 things about our trip this year were special.
I was sitting on the couch with my brother and sister watching television when my mom and dad came to ask us if we wanted to go to Mexico with our aunt and cousins and we said yes we were all excited because we were finally going to get to meet our family members that live there.
During the summer my family and me went on vacation to mexico to see my grandma at her house it took us 2 days to get to her town is mexico when we got there is was 11 at night my uncle opened the garage door to let us in when we got off the car my grandma opened the door to let us in her house she gave everyone a hug the her and my mom started to cook food for everyone. After everyone got their suitcases out of the car and took them to there room my mom and dad slept in one room, my sister and her daughter slept in another room and my nephew and me slept in the living room. The next day my dad showed me around the town he grew up in where his other family members who lived there, and his aunt who owns a store on the corner of the street. When
Every year I go to Mexico, during spring break and summer. It's always relaxing laying on the beach or going on a nice refreshing swim in the 70 degree water. It was an average day down in mexico during the summer of 2017; I remember my family and I relaxing at home after a long day on the boat. I was feeding the street dog because I could tell she was either having puppies, or already had puppies. She was starving to death, her ribs were showing, I knew I had to help her. I started feeding her three times a day so she could start producing milk if she’s already had the puppies; or so she could keep the puppies healthy while she was still pregnant. A few days later I walked outside to feed her, and I hear whimpering like the sound newborn puppies
I am proud to say that I am Mexican/American because I have more opportunities when looking for a job for knowing how to speak both English and Spanish. Knowing that my parents both came from Mexico makes me a proud daughter because of all the hard work and dedication they put to get me to where I am today. Although it wasn’t easy for my parents to cross the border, I look up to them for bringing me into this world full of opportunities. My dad risked his life walking through the desert in order to cross the border to enter the United States all because he wanted give his kids a better future. My father wanted my siblings and I to be able to have a good education because he didn’t want us to go through the difficult moments he went through
Personally, I live in a state that has little wilderness, mountaintown's, forest, etc., therefore, it has been a lifelong dream of mine to have the availability to not only visit the three states that I have chosen but to also take my children to experience this with me. Due to having family who lives in Wyoming and Montana luckily they are so kind to share photos of both states with my children and me. However, I do not have family living in New Mexico, although I was lucky enough in high school to have a friend move from New Mexico and allowed me to see many pictures, nonetheless, this has been a dream of mine to someday make it to New Mexico.
Everything was so new and yet so familiar. Places I have seen and places I have not. A new and funny feeling swam through my body unsure what to think about this feeling. Never felt it before, and I somehow knew it wouldn’t be that last.
“Don’t stop, keep going because something great is waiting for us on the other side,” my mother kept reminding me while crossing the desert. Crossing the desert to come to the United States was the hardest thing I had to. This was not optional; it was necessary if we wanted to survive. Crossing the desert is challenging, scary, and tiring
Currently, as stated above, our children are of ages five and nine. They truly are inextricable towards their father. Fernando Jr. Is currently in 3rd grade at elementary school. He is a very smart child and has a huge heart. On the other hand, Melissa, is truly full of energy, excitement, and is exceptionally intelligent. I know that as a mother, if I have to be away for awhile, it would be devastating for me. It would make me feel angered, anxious, and of course depressed. I would never want to come home to my kids not being able to greet their father like they usually do, with hugs and kisses. Also, knowing that I will not be able to have the financial support of my husband will devastate me. Currently my husband and I are employed. I am
For the past three years, I have spent two weeks of my Summer break in the city of Espanola, New Mexico. According to KRQE News 13, Espanola is allegedly the most dangerous city in New Mexico, with one out of nine people having a severe chance of becoming a victim of a crime. The children of Espanola are the ones most affected by the devastating crimes taking place in their city every single day. Although we may come to believe that the one out of nine people is nothing more than a simple statistic, those numbers include the only family that these young kids have. Grandparents, parents, and aunts/uncles, cousins, brothers and sisters.
Trying to find memories is like looking for treasure. You look at the surface and see something mediocre, but you dig deep and find something cool, pretty, and meaningful. It took a while to think of a fond memory, but once I thought of some, it was hard to choose a favorite. Growing up I have had many great experiences in the form of vacations. Between going to Disney World, owning a vacation home, hanging out with my grandparents in Arizona, traveling to Canada and more. They all make amazing memories that I will forever cherish. The vacation spot we go to the most, though, is Wisconsin Dells. A few times I have been allowed to invite friends to come with. When I am allowed to bring friends, it is always a ginormous amount of fun. We goof off in the hotel room, play in the arcades, and swim in the water parks.
If I got a ticket to go anywhere I want I would choose to go to Mexico. I would go to because they have beautiful places to visit. For example they have the beautiful beaches of Acapulco. They have some beautiful water falls .Their culture is part of my culture and I fit in perfectly.
As my eyes lit up like the fourth of July, I stood with my feet stuck to the ground, and my nerves tingle with happiness because of how marvelous it was. I didn't know a Mexico resort could be so nice.
