Personal Narrative: Lif Life

	Living is about making choices. The choices people make shape their lives for better or worse. Even the decision not to choose has its effects, often not wanted. But the individual who chooses to make positive choices and to act accordingly is more likely to see his or her life reflect his or her beliefs and desires. Usually the individual who chooses to take action is also willing to face the risks and obstacles that such choices involve.

We look at life through a narrow view and I think that’s the wrong way to go about it. Looking through the scope at a target as big as one's life is like looking at a single cell that belongs to an Oak. There is no reality associated with it and without that feeling of what's real and attainable we just won't know what our potential will be. If only we could know just how big our target is, then just maybe we would be able to hit the mark. If only, I had known what the mark was back then maybe my life would be different. When I watched,

Fate, then, controls our lives and it is a cruel, unmerciful and relentless master. If it is challenged, even in a small way, fate will hit back hard. The message then, is to stay locked inside, appreciate life as it is, and not take “unnecessary risks” – lest severe consequences

The life is not a destination but a journey. As people go through, they learn, experience, and gain. The journey of the life matters because the people can earn experiences and those experience makes people better.

life is sort of like a huge football game. I believe this because to win a football game it takes diligence, dedication and motivation. This is often true in life and so for , you need to work vigorous at what you are doing, and love what you do. It takes dedication because you would like to be a perfectionist at what you're doing otherwise you can never get anyplace in life. It additionally takes motivation as a result of what you require to possess the state of mind to begin something, and follow through, time after time, to get it right, even if it’s something I may not wish to have to do.

Life is a series of brick walls that vary in height and strength. Randy Pausch realized that these walls are not to keep people out, but instead they’re there to see who wants in bad enough. When you don’t want it bad enough, it’s pretty obvious that you’re not getting past the wall. But if you work hard towards your goal, or childhood dream, there’s a big chance that you’ll be happy. Maybe you won’t do exactly what you wanted, like play in the NFL, but to fulfil the fundamentals of that dream can be just as rewarding. Pausch wanted to be different when he wrote his Last Lecture, so instead of writing about dying, he wrote about living. Since the beginning of time, humans have always been captivated by the endless possibilities of life and the intricate subject of fate and destiny. Perhaps, it is simply integrated into our nature. Although that wonder does come at a price in particular cases, it does not stop us from collectively seeking out new experiences, and that is probably for the better.

“Life is like a camera. Focus on what’s important. Capture the good times. Develop from the negative, and if things don’t work out, just take another shot.” (Zaid K. Abdelnour) Life for mankind is a duration of time that endures many adventures. It is very subjective, because of this, life is only a concept in an individual’s mind, and is only true if they want it to be. As Descartes concluded, “I think, therefore, I am”, an individual’s perspective is their reality. Each individual’s perception of life is their reality, whether it is an adjective, a tool used for motivation, or a collaboration of daily actions our bodies do unconsciously. To confirm the conclusions made: Aristotle “On the soul”, Oscar Wide, Ferris Jabr’s article “Why Nothing is Truly Alive”, and Aristotle’s “Allegory of The Cave” will be referenced and discussed.

Life is full of decision making, and many obstacles that will come in your way to try and stop your path and prevent you from achieving what you must achieve. In the poems “A Laughing Heart,” by Charles Bukowski, and “The Journey,” by Mary Oliver, the authors both meet at describing what life is like and how to live life like the fullest, even though there will be things to stop you, and you may stop yourself. Both of these poems point out that you have to be the main character in your life, you have to beat everybody or every obstacle that will trouble you, you must overcome it to achieve the highest points of your life. In “The Laughing Heart,” the author says “and the more often you learn to do it, the more light there will be.” (14, 15). Charles Bukowski is saying that if you learn to successfully overcome your obstacles, your life will continually get better because there are less problems to face. A similar line in “The Journey,” is “...as you left their voices behind,/ the stars began to burn through the sheets of clouds,/ and there was a new voice which you slowly recognized as your own,” (24-29). The author is saying that as you started to seize opportunity, solve problems and face challenges in your life, you became stronger, and you became the main character in your life. The theme of these two poems is that your life is your life, and even though you will have to overcome obstacles and face challenges, you must be the main character in your life to live your

I long to be free. To be free from the metal chains that hold me down. To be free from the whispering as I descend into my empty slumber. My heart couldn’t handle the pain of the immortal whispers and figures that popped up here and there trying to help or drag me with them.

The way someone’s lifestyle is and also the way they view life is completely their choice. When it comes to life. Life is all about how you respond to the different inconvenient, unexpected, or tragic circumstances that happen to you. Everyone has the choice to decide how they will approach their life each day. It is vital that people surround themselves with as much positivity as possible. Negativity or loss of purpose in someone’s life can result in serious mental and physical issues. It is true though, is that what does not kill you makes you stronger (Harrington, 2012). We as humans have the key element in life and that is resilience (Harrington,2012).

Life has always been a smooth flowing brook with small dashes here and there. It has certainly reached a critical juncture when I have to desire where to turn and what to do next and my idea of life can be best quoted by this very famous quotation:
