Personal Narrative: What Happened In Mrs. Price's Class

Looking through this thread so far, pretty much last as usual thanks to my writing style, I was surprised to see there are no fellow procrastinators in the class. This is a stark contrast from my recently departed high school class. We would all get rubrics and prompts at least a week in advance and we would all begin our assignments on the same day: the day before the assignment is due. Sometimes it was utter chaos in the library in the morning of or the lunch period right before. Sometimes others would forgo the whole early or late ordeal and have no paper to turn in at all. We were young, we were wild, we were all so very stupid. But then again this is college, this is a different animal, and many have seen the error of their ways and chosen

Everything in life happens for a reason. Every experience, whether it be good or bad, can teach a lesson. We all have to deal with mistakes, tragedies, and failures. Being able to learn from them is an essential principle for personal and professional growth. Our experiences add character to our personalities and mold us into who we are. They can make or break a person. For me, it was both. I believe that the lessons I learned through my mistakes have prepared me in becoming an accurate representation of what it means to be a Price College of Business student.

I was so mad that just wanted to scream till my voice dried out. My face was redder then the fake apple that she would pass to student who had the right to talk or answer the question. I had to step out the room and get some air because that was just too much. I couldn’t accept that one teacher didn’t gave me any chance because she thought I was unintelligent. Next day I asked to change my schedule but was denied since it was almost near the finals and change my schedule would change all the other course. I explain to the teacher how I had felt and the reason behind me stepping out the meeting, she was so shocked as I was when she gave a piece of chocolate and hug saying how sorry she was. I had no words to explain what was going in my mind because it was full of confusion, shocked and gladness that she had finely understood me. That cold feeling stopped and I began to continue to asking questions when I didn’t knew answers. Slowly she had started to stop ignoring my hand calls and started asking me

We continued to right are notes down considering it was friday and we did not want any homework. I luckly finished my notes in the nick of time and paige again teased me and that was it i was done i could not take in any more as Mr.Clark told us to go to are lockers. I Got up out of my seat went over to paige and dylan's seat got all up in Paige’s face and yelled” just shut up already i have had enough”. The class got all quiet i mean silent like that really awkward silence when your teacher tells you to talk but no one does .you could have heard a pin drop on the floor. Like 2 seconds later i repetitively said sorry to Paige. Paige said it was fine but i keep saying sorry even as paige got up and went to her locker finally i just stopped she accepted her apology and we walk back into the classroom and just laughed as we picked up the school supplies on the floor. We said bye and went our separate ways

I find myself in a perpetual whirlwind of phases so the only concrete things I have to bandage together some sort of identity are the things my therapist has noticed about my speech patterns and thought process. I love to (over) analyze, (over) think, and (under) achieve. It’s possible the reason I have phases with music, film, and taste in clothing or art has come with the realization that there’s so much stuff, and I don’t want to miss out on anything. I grew up reading fantasy and watching films like Labyrinth, which I credit to the beginning of my interest in literature and film. Last year I had a mild obsession with haikus, especially that of Kobayashi Issa, and watched cheesy 90s sci-fi. As of late I’ve been on a biography and documentary

“Good Morning Ms.Brown” Officer Nick yelled at me as I strolled through the large doors at Simon Gratz High School. Walking through those big red doors every day felt great, I felt even better seeing my friends in first period. We all had gym together and health. The class was 90 minutes long but what better way to spend those 90 minutes running around jumping rope and playing tag. I headed to the locker room on the lower level of the school where I ran into to one of the girls that a friend of mine had beef with the day before. She stared at me but in the back of my mind I’m thinking to myself this bitch don’t want it with me. I continue on to the bathroom to change my clothes and get ready for class. 2014 Fall Semester in the begining was going pretty good i was excited to began school , adapting to the new college life, and interacting with friends and new people. I was attending all my classes on time , studying , and completing the required assigments that needed to be done. I also was working a full-time at Gensis Logistics it wasnt easy trying to manage my schedule , but i tried to make it work the best i could. MTE 1 , 3 , and SDV was a breeze to me I was completing my assigments , studying , and understanding the information that was given to me. Now on the otherhand ENG wasn't hard for me i just didnt understand the content that was teached by the teacher. English was always the strongest subject for me so i couldnt understand why it was such a problem in college , maybe it was the teacher and her teaching methods. I never understood any information that was given it seemed to me like our class was always off topic one class period we would talk english, and then another class period we would talk about something else besides english. Then she assigned papers and assigments that was unfamilar to me it seem like everytime she assigned the class papers

Then I went to language and sat down next to Makenzi, Taylor, and Itzel. Makenzi gave me a piece of gum and the rest of class consisted of reading a stupid story. Then Mrs. Morrone told us our homework which was a work book page. 10 minutes after that she dismissed us and I stopped at my locker. I opened it with ease and took out my science textbook and workbook. I sat down next to Taylor and we talked about our science fair project, which is due in January. All of a sudden, Mrs. Dainton screamed out, “Ah, a spider!” The whole class laughed and screamed. Mrs. Dainton took off her black shoe and tried to hit the spider, but she missed. She aimed again and finally hit it. She told us to quiet down and do our homework, we didn’t. Makenzi continued to laugh and make jokes. “Makenzi, come here,” yelled Mrs. Dainton. Makenzi didn’t so she got a referral. When Makenzi left, the class quieted down and continued working. Mrs. Dainton quietly dismissed us and I stayed because that’s where I have advisory. I worked on homework, and when I was done I read my book. The book I’m reading is called “After Eli”. The bell rung, I put up my chair, and I

I almost pass out. I go back to the real world and head to my seat. The teacher said that we were going to get a new student last week, but I didn’t think much of it. In the class, the seats are arranged in pairs of two. Jane was sitting alone. The second bell rung and the class quieted down and waited for Mrs. Flaherty to do the attendance. It turns out, the person that I was assigned to’s grandmother had passed away on the previous Friday, and today was her funeral. After the teacher finished the attendance, she looked at me and said. “Hey Holden, why don’t you sit next to Jane? She’s new, and needs someone to sit with. And since Adam’s out, you need someone to sit with.” Jane picked her head up and she looked at me with delight. I could tell she was really excited, because she slightly twitched her nose. She has been doing it since she and I were kids. I sat down next to her, and we chewed the fat for two minutes before class started. Every time we talk, she kills me. She always has an new, interesting story every time we see each other. After Mrs. Flaherty taught us a third lesson on plagiarism, we went up to get a worksheet about plagiarism that was to be completed before the end of class. I sat back down with Jane trailing. In this class, I have learned many new skills to improve my writing, and I have also learned new grammar rules. In regards to my writing, I have learned the importance of freewriting when beginning to write a paper. Additionally, I now know to allow ample time for revising and editing because I can look at my work critically for mistakes and make necessary changes. Furthermore, I have learned about grammar rules such as pronoun-antecedent agreement. This rule is something that I know subconsciously, but being made aware of it has allowed me to find mistakes I make more often.

I had finally had enough of Anna, so i told my mom and dad what had been going on, mom said “well im proud of you and jessica for being the bigger person about all of this mess, so i will talk to your principal tomorrow morning”. When I saw my reading scores from the beginning of the year to the end of the year, I was surprised! Then when I heard about the whole classes reading scores I was really surprised at how much growth we made by working together. Because we worked hard, we learned more, and we supported each other, you should buy us some breakfast burritos to celebrate our success.

All I remember is running through the halls trying to find the closest closet or classroom with Debra when suddenly I tripped over her foot and everything goes black.
